Coffee is brilliant. Menu had too much choice but in a good way. Staff are friendly and efficient and patisserie is stocked to the brim with nice things

Cakes were delicious!!! BUT not one staff was speaking French! Music and vib was NOT from France. Service was very slow although the place was not full. It was 13h00 but cakes were almost finished. I asked for Ham, they don't sell it anymore! The...place is not well maintained. It was quiet disappointing!!!More

Had a lovely red cappucino and smashed avo breakfast. Service was fast and food good. Bought some goodies from the bakery afterwards. Bread looks good!

The pavement environment is inviting and very safe. The sunny atmosphere means that it is welcoming in winter. The food is always fresh and tasty, and value for money.

I came across this cafe by chance and was pleasantly surprised. I had an absolutely delicious coffee and the freshest chocolate croissant. Lovely outdoor seating and good service. I'll definitely be back to try out the full menu which looks really good.

We had a filled croissant and a smashed avocado on bread and a chocolate croissant for the children. Just lovely food. Milkshakes and Chai tea during lockdown, otherwise a white wine would always be a recommendation here.

Compared to a year ago, when I last visited, it was rather disappointing. Service slow (although still friendly), cooking disappointing (nicely poached soft eggs should not be that difficult for a restaurant specialising in breakfasts) . Think I'll give it a miss until after COVID.

Great bakery with amazing bread, BUT you can never see their bread on the shelves - they are always out of stock and don't you dare mentioning it to their staff - you will experience the full might of their attitude

A very unfair review. No details, no explanation of the bread desired, date, time and the circumstances. Didn't have the courage to bring this to the attention of the manager or owner. And no, we are not always out of stock.

After a few months of Covid lockdown we looked forward to a breakfast at a cafe known for it’s French flavour. The cafe is located off a quiet suburban tree lined street - and could be a hive of activity especially due to the ability...to sit outside. On the Saturday that we were there, there seemed to be no manager and the waiters were completely disinterested in the customers. I had to get up from the table three times to get one of them to attend to the table. The 3 waiters were all glued to their mobile phones in each instance. Apart from some side orders, we decided on two orders of eggs Benedict. After some time the orders arrived - cold. The accompanying coffee orders were average BUT the one coffee was served in a chipped coffee cup - while all of the world is trying to avoid contracting Covid. When the table next to us was vacated, a waiter then sprayed the table and chairs with a liquid but made no effort to clean it. That was evident from the dirt on the chairs. To crown it all, a van pulled up to our outside table and the driver then approached one of the waiters and went into the back of the store. Written on his shirt - “pest control”. Really? Please do this when you do not have customers! Go there at your own risk!More

Oft I've driven past here, but on this day I was wondering where we can go for a post Parkrun coffee and I remembered the recommendation from my brother some years back "the French place in Mackay, just off Conrad Drive" It was a rainy...Saturday morning and we sat inside, but they had seating outside too. Voila. Pictures of Paris & prints by Degas on the wall. Quotes written in French [translated], by Balzac and Musset: "The only true language in the world is a kiss" . A sign that says BEST COFFEE by Njabulo, delivers accordingly, next to some of their awards. Another - of his late dog Charlie, who the restaurant is dedicated to. I settled for what was suggested to me, back then; a plain croissant, with honey. Later Ria convinced me that we need to share a slice of cheesecake. We settled for the New York baked cheesecake, 'a secret recipe from the chef' s German great grandmother's café' The place was filled with couples, a party of 6 having champagne, a father and his son, a woman, alone- writing her memoirs or poetry, but it was a shopping list. And on this morning a pianist Philomène (Philo.mien on Instagram) crooning French songs. Well worth leaving the couch for.More

I love this little place, it has indoor and outdoor seating, the staff are great and friendly, service is good. Now for the food - it's fantastic. Tasty beyond words. I had the Lyon breakfast loved every mouthful, it's a big breakfast so make sure...you are hungry. My husband had the croissant with scrambled egg, the eggs were creamy the croissant was soft and fresh. We also got cheese cake and custard slice, yummy, yummy, yummy. This is a must try restaurant. Always a pleasure to visit this incredible establishment. The food and service is always top notch. A well stocked deli offers imported french cheeses and daily freshly baked breads and pastries. They also offer a pensioners’s special on Wednesdays.

Had my birthday high tea and I was thoroughly impressed, pleased and full. The food taste great and you can tell that it was all prepared with quality ingredients. The service was spot on and the setting was so cute. My friends and I really...had a great time. Best of all, it didn't cost me a arm and a leg. Would definitely recommend it!More
