Nice character restaurant to have lunch with family and friends surrounded by beautiful gardens, including a safe area for young kids to play. Food selection is not substantial but what was on offer was good.

This is a lovely option in the south of Johannesburg and manages to combine the country feeling with a quaint and unique atmosphere. Choose between tables in side and outside to enjoy the atmosphere. The service is friendly, food is well prepared and the atmosphere...invites you to linger and enjoy the country feeling. A great option when in the south of Johannesburg, especially if you want to avoid the malls or main stream optionsMore

I reviewed this restaurant a few years ago and we decided to see if things had improved since. It is a lovely garden setting. A group of friends went for lunch and although the food on the whole was ok, the service was abominable. A...large table was just leaving, and apart from the 8 of us there were two other people - not busy. Our orders took 40 minutes to arrive. One lady had to wait for nearly 10 mins more for her main to arrive. The fish was overcooked and so dry it was almost impossible to cut. The chef was called and explained that he had just popped out of the kitchen and so hadn't seen it go out. He did cook another fish which was ok. The filling of the trout pie was tasty, but the pastry was burnt. The chicken curry was ok but again a small portion. There was no creme brulee so we settled for eton mess, which was passable. One lady requested that her custard for the sticky toffee pudding be heated. This took 20 minutes, by which time the rest of us had finished except for one lady whose desert of two scoops of ice cream had not arrived. By this time the chef and other staff were sitting at leisure on a nearby table. No-one seemed to check or even care whether our dishes had actually gone out. Apparently the waiter was new and obviousl had not been trained . The manager arrived just as we were leaving and we did voice our concerns. We won't be back.More

We were really surprised by the lovely experience. The setting is quaint and beautiful, with the most amazing trees and flowers. The setting has a very strong riverine feel to it. The service was great with a special shout out to Life for his professionalism....The owner was very attentive and friendly. We had the most delicious chicken curry and generous portion of carrot cake for dessert. It is well worth the visit, and we will be back.More

On August 9 I attended a Women's Day event organised by "The Love Army", a non-profit started by Gina Athans, the daughter of the owners of Miss Grace. This venue is a hidden gem south of Johannesburg. The ambience is wonderful, the waiters are professional...and the food is out of this world. I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion, especially a romantic getaway from the big city for the weekend.More

Miss Grace is situated on the outskirts of Johannesburg; it offers a place of tranquility, is pet friendly and offers great service and good food. It's the ideal place to spend some time - choose from a table inside or outside and have something to...eat/drink from the extensive menu. Definitely a place worth visitingMore
