My 88 year old mother, my daughter, my 3 year old grandson and I had lunch at Panettone Cafe. The service was excellent albeit a bit slow at times. The food was good and the white wines were recent. We could relax over our meal...while a child minder kept an eye on my very active grandson. We will definitely be returning.More

We were the guests here of a medium sized function and thus there was a heavy snack / light lunch spread made available to the guests in a sitdown format. In general the food was good given that it was via an ever rotating platter...format. The service was sketchy if you wanted anything specific that was not part of the standard spread - just getting a glass of water was a mission! The variety offered was impressive and apart from some of the dishes in general was good.More

Very relaxing place with kids. Has a nice garden with playground. Closed safe place, you can enjoy your meal while kids play in the garden. Has an open view just next to a cricket field. Best place when the weather is good. Food offers and...quality is quite well.More

Has two big playgrounds and a big garden. Kids can cook their own pizzas and cookies. Great outdoor place for families. Quality of the food and number of choices is also quite satisfactory. We come here every second week...

Great selection of food, including kid sized meals. Excellent play area, very secure. Meant adults could enjoy company and kids were happy too.

We had an early lunch on a rainy day. The children's play area outside could initially not be used, but the children were well catered for, with dough being provided for them to be creative. The food was good, especially the wood-fired pizza.

They have above average good food. The huge advantage is that they have Child minders to watch the kids while you relax . Definitely taking my boy back :-)

Colleagues recommended this restaurant highly but I'm at a loss to understand why. I arrived after 10.00 (their advertised opening time) but staff were only just sweeping up and laying tables. Play equipment was dirty, broken and generally not well maintained. The child minders had...dirty aprons and their uniforms generally didn't look particularly clean. This was a marked contrast to another family friendly restaurant I went to the previous day. The setting is pleasant but this in no way made up for the awful state of the equipment. Possibly an ok place to go with children over 3 but don't go with children younger than that. In my opinion other places are vastly superior.More

I booked a party of 16 people to celebrate my mom's birthday. She wanted somewhere where the kids could play, with good food. This place met all our requirements! Fast, friendly service, great food, and the price of the food wasn't too bad on our pockets...either. Very budget friendly. A hidden gem. It was a first time visit for all of us, but I (as well as many of our party) will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu! Big thumbs up to Sharon, our waitress, who looked after us so nicely. She is a gem! Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back.More

We went there on December 16. Nice for family outings. My son enjoyed the play area. The food is a bit pricey and they do take long but it was worth the wait. Except for the cheesecake that tasted sour.

We recently had our Christmas lunch at Panettone Cafe at Zoo Lake. I was really not very impressed with the service. Our waiter, Nicolas, should rather work in the kitchen and not with the clients. He was unfriendly and when we ordered something he would...leave our table and we would have to shout at him to come back as we were not finished ordering. Then we would not see him for ages. The food was average (I ordered fried calamari with rice). The portions were very small for the price I paid. I must however say that there pizzas looked brilliant as did their 1/2 chicken and 6 prawns. I also cannot understand that when the bill arrived, there was a semi total amount, 10% tip was then added and then there was a space to enter a gratuity amount. What is with this? Is the 10% tip (which by my standard I would not have given Nicolas in the first place as he did not deserve it - I would have given him 5%) not part of the gratuity or am I ignorant. So if they work on a 10% tip and then you give them a 10% gratuity (because not many people actually read the bottom part of the slip, does this not mean that you are actually giving them 20%???? This place will not see me in a hurry.More
