I used to go to the Queen of The Nile at least once a year with my family. It always offered great food and ambiance. I went back there last year and everything has now changed; they are now called Rosettas, the nice Egyptian inspired...decor is gone but worse the table we were given was dirty, I had to ask the waiter to change my glass and cutlery. Food was OK, not so much variety anymore... I had a piece of meat, veggies and ice cream for desert. A complete disappointment... Not going back there.More

Last time I was there, the buffet was ok, not so great from what I'm used to. The dessert was nicer though than the main course. Not sure if I would visit soon

Queen of the Nile is one of a dozen or more restaurants in the food court area of the Emperor’s Palace Casino near the Johannesburg airport, formerly Caesar’s Palace. I wanted Indian food, and wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Darn it, we were...too early for the buffet, so I had fish curry with some sort of sauce that I don’t remember the name of—but it was excellent and the fish was tasty and firm: not cheap. My two buddies had different dishes and both were very pleased. I’d definitely go back and would love to try the buffet.More

Very interesting setting for a dining experience as the decor is an egyptian ship, food was average buffet setting with choices of foods including some native dishes.

Now called Rosettas. Restaurant should open on time, there is no excuse for opening late! As far as the buffet goes, nothing much has changed since Queen of the Nile, food in general is worse, less meat, cheaper ingredients, less variety. Staff are not very...friendly and do not appear eager to be working there. New decor is not as warm and homely, seems more like a mass food market. Waitress had no idea what zapper was. We paid using zapper including a tip for the waitress. She said she does not receive the tip, we spoke to the Maitre 'd?? who also didn't seem to know how zapper worked, and also confirmed that our waitress would not get the gratuity included in the bill. Where does that money go to if not to the waitron, that is scandalous!!More

Not necessarily a buffet fan, but thought that the spread was reasonably good. No real reason why I should not return.

My family took our parents for my dad's 80th birthday to Rosetta's for lunch. The food was great with more variety than we could handle. Soft drinks, including 3 wines, are included in the price per person, also great variety. The ambience was perfect and...we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I will recommend the restaurant to everyone I meet.More

The food was cold, and some of it already hardened from being left open. There was risidual food on the cutlery. We were not informed that service will end at 16:00 so when we wanted dessert it was cleared by the staff and they refused...to check whether there was anything left over for us to have.More
