We generally order take-aways. Food has been consistently good for the since inception. You can tell that love goes into every dish. Favourites are the naan breads and veg dishes.

This is a small restaurant nestled amongst some other big boys. The food there is excellent. Albeit I only tried the Paneer Tikka Masala but it was definitely delicious. You can taste that they only use the freshest of ingredients. If you looking for a place for good Indian food. This should be on one of those lists. I know I have added it to mine!

It's a tiny restaurant stuck in the corner of a centre but the good is incredible. It takes long for the meal to be prepared but it is so worth the wait. When an Indian restaurant is filled with Indian guests that tells you something!

Have eaten here a few times. The chicken curry and rice is normally excellent. Today I was not impressed. The curry was extra hot than normal. Seems that they are not consistent, or a change in the chef. The food was really hot this time. Please stipulate with them your preference. Hope this helps. Other that that the food is usually great.

This restaurant is small, and no, it does not have romantic decor but there is nothing unpleasant about it. You come here to eat, not to snuggle, and you know the food is going to be good, because 90% of the patrons are Indian! I have eaten here twice, on different days, and the food is consistent - something that not all restaurants achieve. The menu is extensive with the emphasis on main meals. Whether you like mild korma or more fiery jalfreezi, it is all there, plus the most delicious variations of rice and naan. Condiments are pure Indian and the food is served in proper bowls from which everyone can help themselves. This is authentic Indian cuisine and the portions are huge - take it home, they are used to the doggie bag request. You can dine in the Johannesburg CBD at large, fancy, dimly lit caves of Indian bricabrac at enormously inflated prices with western style crockery and whatnot, but if you want real food at real prices, this is the place to go.

This small Indian restaurant serves great food and the service is pretty good, but it has very basic decor and absolutely no ambience whatsoever and certainly not romantic! Great for a take away and then create your own feast at home. You get the feeling that you are in somebody's back room and the tacky neon light outside is gross. So go there for a good meal or get one to take out - that's it!

The restaurant is based in the Honey Crest Shopping Centre, just below the Chicago Piano Lounge. The food is affordable, well prepared and quite tasty. There is ample seating inside, and a table outside for 4. The restaurant serves alcohol as well. Atmosphere is cosy, with Indian decor and music. Cuisine is mostly North Indian, and has some wonderful highlights to it. We tried the Vegetable Jalfrezi, Mattar Paneer, Tawa Roti, Garlic Naan - which was great, their food ranges from Mild to Hot - so be sure to specify. Medium is good. The kids tried the Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Lollies, which my eldest thoroughly enjoyed. He was impressed with the flavors of the chicken fried rice, which differed in comparison to his regular chinese style chicken chow faan.
