We booked a table for a Saturday evening and were quickly served drinks (bring your own alchohol), and perused a menu of Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. The calamari snacks were deliciously balanced and the bao buns with a variety of meat fillings were both filling and tasty. Sushi was top class and service came with a smile! The only drawback was that it was a bit noisy, including the road noise with the French windows open. They do a great delivery service.

Food and ambience was great, my wife has a similar experience with the crispy beef served with jasmine rice, everything was good begged was slightly overcooked, busy EVERYTHING else was amazing. Bao buns were soft and the fillings were out of this world. Tapas chicken wings were some of the best tasting and prepared wings yet. Will definitely come back again

Came here for lunch and I had an experience but it wasn’t the restaurant. We sat outside and this hobo was telling us to buy a bag of rice but anyway, the food was delicious.

Poor service and heavy delays. After a long period of not going due to poor food, We decided to re visit the restaurant on Monday women’s day. We sat down outside. The place wasn’t too busy. It was a lovely spring afternoon the sun shining on our back. After 10 mn the waiter brought the much needed wine glasses (byob). We ordered bao, sushi’s. After 40 mn and 2 reminders we summoned the waiter and sushi chef that we would leave. They brought the bao. Bad luck as it was for me and not my lovely fiancée!
We ate the bao and left after speaking to the waiter and explaining that something is definitely wrong in terms of lack of management. No one came to see us and try to reassure us re the food. We had totally lost trust in the delivery. Another Jhb restaurant we shall avoid
We ended up at proud Mary where in 10 mn they brought all our food at once. Maybe the 27 waiters and 30 kitchen staff there are a hint to momo.

Visit this establishment at least once a month . Thrice in the last two months the food has been disgusting .
- in store visit : they forgot about our Bao, after 30min brought it cold. As it was just standing there
- Uber eats : sushi arrived , soggy wet, gross. It’s like it was standing for hours
- pick up collection : the fried wings, slow cooked ribs, and fried calamari tasted like it was reheated/ re fried .
I called after the collection requesting for the manager to contact me , ready to return the food . It has been two days and I am still waiting for manager to contact , with 8 phone calls. Poor food poor management .

Good restaurant for team lunch, has a variety of options and the service was prompt. Would recommend to others, Friday and Saturday are busy and you may want to book in advance if there are more than 4 of you.

Over rated, with no flavor in many dishes we had. The crispy beef had more over fried batter than any beef. No recommended. Much better having a boerie roll on the street

We booked at Momo and I’m glad we did because the place filled up fast. And yes the acoustics are loud but it’s atmospheric and we could always hear each other and hold conversation. The food was to die for. We had Kimchi Tofu pot stickers and prawn wontons and the most divine Korean chicken wings and some edamame beans to start. Then we ordered mains of teriyaki noodle bowls and it was the most delicious smoky noodles ever. Shoved with fresh veggies and either tender chicken or crispy tofu. Out of this world. One of our party had a duck baobun and wasn’t too keen so she ordered more chicken wings.
Corkage is free!
Service was very good too.
We had a fabulous evening!

The food was absolutely delicious, however the service was not up to scratch. Waitress even admitted to forgetting about our table and our requests. Clear lack of understanding of what vegan entails. Nothing on the menu was full vegan.

Bad acoustics, so the place is loud. If you are sensitive to loud noise, I would really stay away. Didn’t help that there was a rowdy birthday party happening. Eventually had to leave because of the noise levels. But the food was really good.

This little joint in Greenside is getting it all right! It's a charming venue, the food is really good, the staff are friendly and attentive and they have no liquor licence (by choice) which makes the dining experience that much more affordable.
It's Asian food, mostly (enormous) bao buns and then Korean (ish) bowls but there is no pork on the menu, which suits Greenside well. I love pork, but didn't miss it on this menu, with it's braised brisket and sticky beef short ribs.
It's a sharing sort of place, and we ordered a selection of tapas to start: the sticky ribs, crispy calamari, edamame beans, salmon tartare, and then the best potstickers I've ever had: tasty beef and mushroom filling and light and crispy wrapper! The edamame beans, which you dip in a nutty sauce and then suck from their pods, were moreish. It was all terrifically tasty, and brought to us at lightning speed, as we had explained to the waiter that one of our party needed to be delivered to the airport shortly. Our main courses also arrived swiftly: bowls for the two guys (generous and tasty. The sezchuan particularly so, and you can choose rice, noodles or greens as a base). My daughter wanted the duck bao, but they were out of duck, so she had beef instead. My niece and I shared the tofu bao and the rainbow reloaded sushi. The sushi was good, but it's those buns I'd go back for: light and pillowy, with such delicious fillings. And the very well behaved 4 month old we had with us sucked happily on the prawn crackers.
The food came so fast, we even managed to share some dessert: the lemon yuzu tart came with a scoop of really lovely berry sorbet, and the crisp bits of deep fried bao with a yum salted caramel sauce.
I should mention the prices: the bowls were R85, the baos averaged at R75, the sushi R45 (4 pieces) and the tapas were mostly R65. Our meal for 5 , for three courses and including tip was R832.Really good value for money. The place was buzzing with happy parties of diners, be sure to book.

TripAdviser does not have this latest restaurant listed. This restaurant is well worth the climb up the three flights of stairs. Review once you get there is superb and you can eat out on the terrace so looking at the view is a bonus. We have eaten at another branch of this chain and the menus are the same. As we were six in our party we decided to share and for starters we had the crispy calamari the Korean fried chicken wings fiery green beans. To follow we had Chairman Bao and mighty duck Bao. All were excellent. As the restaurant was full, service was a bit slow , but this was forgotten because of the atmosphere. The advantage is you can bring your own wine, with no corkage charge. Staff were knowledgeable. Well worth a visit but make certain you book before you attempt them stairs. Not for people with leg or back problems as there are no lifts.

Lovely ambience, great food, good service albeit slow.
The food is Asian with a twist.
We made reservations for a Saturday afternoon and we really enjoyed the sushi, the bowls, the bao, the tapas. The restaurant is moderately priced. We had a fantastic Turkish delight lemonade.
The decor is good. The presentation of the food is superb and the taste tantalizing.

Went here for drinks ne’er with an old friend I hadn’t seen for years, so a special occasion. The restaurant lived up to the occasion. Great Mighty Duck Bao, good dumplings, wontons and calamari. Sat on the balcony with a view over the night lights of Jo’burg. Recommended
