I always think I will order something other than the fish cakes, but I never do. Maybe one day but they are consistently amazing so not really sure. Friends and family have ordered many other menu items and always rave about the quality and taste. This restaurant is amazing for breakfast and lunch and the wait staff are incredibly attentive and passionate about good service.

Craig & Michelle are actively involved in their superb restaurant that offers consistent quality and professional service. We enjoyed breakfast with friends and the dishes were presented attractively in generous portions. Great prices too! The service is flawless and friendly. The coffees are excellent. Beautiful decor.

We visited during late summer and enjoyed breakfast plus coffee at this beautiful and comfortable restaurant. We were welcomed warmly by the owners. We savoured delicious dishes - attractively presented, ample in portion and served at the correct temperature. The best coffee ever served with rich shortbread. The service was outstanding.

Today was the third time we visited the Rambling Rose during our holiday in St Francis, once for lunch and twice for breakfast. Each of the experiences has been fantastic. The staff are friendly and pleasant, the setting outside is awesome and they were taking all the COVID precautions seriously.
We did have a bit of a wait the one time to get in, as it was very busy between Christmas and New Year, but was worth the wait.
The food was really tasty each time, and the fresh juices, smoothies and gourmet milkshakes are good complements for any meal.
Really recommend this place to anyone in the area.

We always buy your fresh and tasty carrot cake at Rambling Rose which was full of nuts, carrots, pineapple, mix spice, cinnamon and had a brown color after it was baked with a lemon icing. Now today (7/11/2020) after buying the carrot cake it looks like a white cake with little carrots, pineapple, nuts and hardly a taste of cinnamon and mixed spice and just icing. It’s blah as the picture and tasteless. Maybe the baker is skimping on the ingredients and the baker didn’t taste her cake before taking it to the coffee shop to be sold to the clients. Please try and make it better as nobody is going to buy a slice looking like this(see picture). Very disappointing indeed for such a wonderful coffee shop whose cakes have always been delicious.

Seldom do one visit a restaurant which can easily describe as almost perfect. This one is such an establishment.
The atmosphere is informal and relaxed. The place has a kind of buzz not found elsewhere. The play area for kids is safe, well protected and in sight from most of the tables.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The omni presence and involvement of the owner is praiseworthy and account for the success of the place.
The menu is comprehensive and will satisfy most tastes!
The wine list is more than adequate. Their wine by the glass is NOT from a box which another feather in their cap
It is a well priced restaurant for an enjoyable family and friends outing.
When next time you are in the vicinity, go rambling into the Rambling Rose and enjoy!

Great little spot for lunch with family, only had toasted sandwiches myself and my 8 year old was happy to play while waiting for his smoothie.
Can’t wait to go back as my wife says the cappuccinos are brilliant. Yep, I was on an errand and snuck a beer in while I waited.
Owner was also very hospitable. 👍🏼

We took our grandchildren out for afternoon cake and tea and had a wonderful time. The scones were fresh and light; the brownie moist and chocolatey. The play area was a hit with the grandchildren. Great service. Lovely venue.

We had “breakfast” at the St Francis Rambling Rose this morning. Been here for some time but only discovered it today, unfortunately. My breakfast was a burger with cappuccino. The coffee was out of this word. Warm with the right amount of froth and beautiful balanced espresso. The burger was something else. Two meat patties, fresh salad, gherkins and a lovely spicy tomato relish on lovely bread. The omelette was filled with cheese and a good amount of beacon. Good food and good value for money and the service was great. The shortbread with the cappuccino was the best!

Wonderful little cafe with a great play area for younger and older kids. The staff was SO friendly and helpful, they made it felt cozy and homely.
We all enjoyed our meals, so I would highly recommend a visit when in St francis.

We loved this beautiful restuarant. The service and food were on point. The manager came around to check on his patrons. The play around is well thought out and so convenient if you have littlelees tagging along.
They have an amazing variety of options on their menu, between the 5 of us, we couldn't fault any of our meals, they were all delicious .
Definitely a place to visit.

What an amazing venue, tucked away from the main road. Great for young children, lovely play area and bouncy castle.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The food is tasty. I visited 3 times during our 5 day stay.
Must visit, exceptional breakfast and lunch.

This is a really nice restaurant. They have converted an old house into a nice welcoming restaurant. The play area for the kids was nice and even had a jumping castle. The service was friendly and the food was good.
