Bistro Vin De Boeuf in St Francis Bay offers a dining experience like never before, not to be missed. It is absolutely charming, intimate and pays attention to every detail. From the ambiance, beautiful decor, to perfected dishes to choose from from the menu. Each...dish we ordered is a masterpiece, visually and exploded with flavour. The attentive service added to our overall enjoyment, especially from Raymond (thank you again for your amazing service and 5 star treatment) and thank you Jenna. This is a must-visit establishment for any food enthusiast. Not to be missed.More

My wife and I ate here recently and enjoyed the food and wine very much, but it was fairly obvious to me and to her that this Resaurant has only recently opened and the waiting staff were very friendly. They were still getting used to...the menu. The steaks were absolutely delicious, but if I could make one suggestion, it would be that they should be garnished with at least a side salad or even mushrooms being served. We have to say however, that we thoroughly enjoyed our night out.More

We had a lovely dinner there (Valentine's night) - the food was amazing, the wind delicious, and the service was really good. The waiters could use a bit more training, but they were really friendly and tried hard to make everything perfect. We noticed some...diners' food took a long time, but the chef wasn't trying to ruin anyone's evening; quite the opposite. Sometimes snags happen, and we're all human, after all. I'd definitely eat there again.More

It was by far the best food and wine we experienced in South Africa, the wagyu steak was next level and some of the side orders were delicious and over sized which meant we could share. We loved the gnocchi and the take on the...classic avocado prawn ritz. Wines were also fantastic.More

My spouse and I had dinner here tonite. We had heard and read great things about this restaurant and we were not disappointed at all. We had the waygu steak and it was just perfect. So tender. We had the house special fries, big thick...stacks of wedges fried 3 times. We started with the Iberian ham and figs. Highly recommend. Extensive wine list.More

It’s the best feeling when you discover something magical, unexpected and you feel the need to shout out loud,we had never heard of this place and accidentally came across it while doing some food shopping at Off the menu food emporium which we love, Bistro...Vin de Bouef is kind of hidden above the store, it’s entrance is from inside the store and a narrow stairway with a little sign leads you to an oasis of food and wine in its most perfect form. This is a restaurant of details from every morsel you taste or every sip of your wine the experience has been well curated, from the glassware to the napkins to the music and lighting it’s all just so romantic, we ordered an array of dishes from Prawn ritz, gnocchi with pancetta and truffles, the salmon with oxtail and the wagyu fillet they were all so perfect, the side dishes are all over sized so one is enough for a few people, the quality is next to none and service impeccable, it’s lovely to have your wine decanted no matter what price you pay. We have shouted out now…. rob, steal, borrow but go visit while you can still get a table.More

Magnificent meal. Excellent service by polite and well trained staff. Wine list is extensive. The food was awesome. Beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Most of our party had starters and mains. The mains were mainly meat dishes and steaks. I had the salmon on oxtail...which was magnificent. Salads and sides great. Worth a visitMore

An incredible meal at Conrad Gallagher’s bistro last night,we started with some amazingly warm truffle and Parmesan bread with some soft butter olive oil and sea salt,we then shared a Gnocchi with pancetta, peas, Parmesan and a peas emulsion soup with Serrano ham, wow both were...a triumph, we followed with a jersey cow bone in sirloin and a braised oxtail potji pot a type of French slow braised casserole in a black cast iron pot which was just unbelievable and so flavourful and tender, the sirloin was cooked to perfection and served with a very good béarnaise sauce, we shared a cauliflower with tahini and a broccoli with hollandaise both were superbly prepared, the mash potatoes were a typically French style with lots of butter and lots of work to make that smooth. We shared the chocolate fondant which had a magnificent vanilla ice cream, so creamy and so much vanilla there was no messing around here, just on point. In general this is an amazing restaurant that you expect to find in a bustling city and not in a small quiet village like St Francis bay,the service is on a different level of detail with very attentive and well informed staff, we agreed it’s one of the best restaurants in the county when talking to other tables of guests sitting next to us and the general conversation of everyone there was that it’s just fantastic. Well done bistro vin de boeuf,we hope we can get a table the next time we visit st. Francis bay.More

We were totally excited to eat at bistro vin de boeuf as we eat years ago at a place the owner had called geisha wok and noodle bar,at the time it was modern cutting edge and as always he was leading the pack in food...and service, an opportunity to eat here came through our friends who were celebrating a 50th and we were delighted to accept the invite, once you enter the room you can already tell that this is a restaurant of detail, the lighting the music the lay out all perfectly curated and well thought out,the servers were all very well informed about the menus and the gentleman storm the head server or manager was just a pro in every way. We had an array of dishes from starters to mains to side dishes and sauces and desserts, to many to mention but the stars that shone the brightest was the steak tartare, wagyu carpaccio,Jersey cow bone in sirloin but for everyone at the table the piece de resistance was the Tomahawk 660gr steak, the whole head of broccoli with hollandaise, the truffle beef marrow sauce, the truffle Parmesan fries, the chocolate fondant and the international cheese plate. All incredible dishes and presented immaculately,we all agreed this was one of the best meals any of us had ever eaten in our life’s.More

Fantastic food and attentive (but not intrusive) service in a special space. Wish more restaurants had the courage to do a limited and specialist menu like this stunning bistro does. Quality is off the charts and wine list is a compendious knockout. Pea emulsion soup...was terrific, as was the truffle and asparagus gnocchi to start, Home made sourdough came warm to the table before started and was a joy. Angus beef for both of us was tender, succulent and cooked perfectly to order. You REALLY need to enjoy a meal here.More

Lovely steaks and great wines, nice service also, it's a bit hidden as its above a store but never the less it was excellent food, a little expensive but you expect to pay extra when its aged meats, the place itself was very classy, comfortable...and nice atmosphere. going to go back for my 50th birthday with some friends, my wife loved the salmon and the couple with us said it was the best meal they ever had.More
