Very nice and quiet, away from the adjacent main road. Nice atmosphere, tidy and well decorated. Service was excellent and the take aways ordered for our evening meal were excellent. Meals were a bit expensive, but well prepared.

Decided to have dinner at this establishment and decided to just have a bunch of starters. Amazing tastes and loved everything. From the meatball, tzatziki, tiropita, saganaki and calamari was amazing. Service was good, but it’s the food that makes this a evening to remember....Well done.More

Alarm bells went off when I saw the waitresses neatly dressed in the same outfits. We saw the same at Coachman’s which to their credit gives the restaurants a sophisticated feel. Our fears were realised when the menu confirmed it was another George and Dawn...establishment. Too late and tired to move on we hoped for the best as we were just having going to have light dinner. The Quattro Stagioni pizza was what one would expect from an average pizza joint, nothing special but nothing offensive. A selection of sushi dishes/salads was the same, very far from the best and not the worst one can get. The mussels (again bad seafood at the sea) were pathetic. Tiny scraps in a big bowl of garlic gloop. My wife hopes she could fill the missing holes in her stomach with having some taramasalata with her last slice of pita. The gloop that arrived looked like artificial pink snot, just some flavourants, colourants and gloop that sadly appears in many restaurants as “Tara”. Next time we’ll rather hit a Md’s drivethrough.More

Disappointing food and service. The moment we sat down and saw we were in another George and Dawn establishment we knew it was a mistake. Waitress did not right down the order so got it wrong. She assured me the mussels were excellent, medium size...and 8 per portion. I was served a bowl of garlicky muck and literally had to search for the mussels in it. Only found 7 shells (1 of them broken) and mussels the size of my thumbnail ! She did offer to bring more but by then I really did not feel that would make up for my disappointment. The pita bread was hardly any better - flat and tasteless. I decided to have some Tara as well but this tasted watered down, no creamy consistency. The pizza was adequate and the sushi looked ok. Please don’t recommend food from your menu if you can’t deliver anything like it !More

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves for a grandiose saga that dances on the brink of incredulity, paints pictures with words, and serves up a buffet of sheer delight. Welcome to my review of La Kouzina in South Africa, the most fantastically GREAT dining experience I've...ever had! When we stepped into La Kouzina, we were greeted by a cornucopia of scents that would've caused Dionysus himself to rethink his life choices. Suddenly, like a ray of sunshine through storm clouds, emerged our server - Jade. This gentleman, folks, was no mere waiter, but a maestro conducting an orchestra of gastronomic wonder. Attentive as a hawk, swift as a cheetah, he was Tony the Tiger's answer to hospitality - he was GRRRREAT! Now, Jade may have forgotten a beer once. But like a master swordsman deflecting a lethal strike, he parried the mishap with such finesse, turning it into a moment of charm that had us chuckling. And you know what, a comedy act with your steak? That’s GRRRREAT! On to the pièce de résistance - the food. Oh, the food! Like a culinary Botticelli, La Kouzina painted a masterpiece on our plates. Both my wife and I had the Filet Mignon, a dish we attacked with all the ferocity of a famished tiger let loose in a steakhouse. And let me tell you, it was GRRREAT! It was as though Zeus himself descended from Mount Olympus, butcher knife in hand, and carved us a piece of ambrosial bovine delight. We weren't eating that filet, ladies and gents, we were participating in a primal, carnivorous ritual. We didn't just eat the steak; we consumed it, we embodied it, we became one with it. The vegetables on the side were like an ensemble cast, not there merely for decoration, but acting out their roles with aplomb. They were crisp, fresh, an explosion of colors that made Van Gogh's palette look drab. And they were tasty – really, really GRRRREAT! And then, the mashed potatoes. Now, listen folks, these weren't your grandma's mashed potatoes (no offense to any potato-mashing grandmas out there). No, they were a bit... different. Kind of like that eccentric uncle everyone has – you know, the one who's a little quirky but comes up with the best stories at family gatherings? Yeah, they were that kind of different. Not bad, just... unique. And isn't that what life's all about? Embracing the unique? So kudos, La Kouzina, for the one-of-a-kind mashed potatoes. La Kouzina, my friends, is a gastronomic spectacle, a pageantry of flavors conducted under the watchful eye of Jade, our server extraordinaire. It's not just a restaurant; it's a culinary Disneyland that takes you on a whirlwind tour of taste sensations. So, next time you find yourself prowling the savannahs of South Africa, stop by La Kouzina. Unleash your inner carnivore on that filet mignon. Revel in the culinary symphony that is their vegetable ensemble. And when Jade forgets your beer, sit back, relax, and watch as he weaves it into a story you'll remember for years. Because that's what La Kouzina is, folks. It's not just a meal, it's a memory. It's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. And let me tell you, it's not just great, it's GRRRREAT!More

We've had a nice dinner at La Kousina. The food was really good, the view was nice, and the staff was really friendly. Since it was quite crowded, sometimes it took a bit longer then usual. Overall great experience!

Last night we met for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in PE to bid farewell to much loved family members who are emigrating to England. My husband had his favorite Calamari steak and I ordered their pricey Greek Lamb Kleftiko, instead of my...normal order, Pizza. The shank was very tender but smothered in a terrible brown sauce. I will not be ordering that again! What a pity, because I love lamb! The service was good and the setting lovely.More

This is a regular dinner venue for me when in Port Elizabeth. Convenient location to many of the big hotels along the promenade. Friendly staff. A great place to accommodate a group with different presences as it has Greek food, sushi, pasta and wood fired...pizzas. Relaxed atmosphere.More

Been a couple of times and this was our last outing before shutdown. Had a nice view from our table towards the sea and service was excellent. Had a focaccia as a starter and that was excellent and for main course we had Alfredo and...a Marinara pasta. What I enjoy here is that they serve half portions which is really excellent. Ended up being a most pleasant evening. Do recommend you try a meal here.More

Enjoyed tender kleftiko and crispy calamari at La Kouzina. It was served with lovely buttery mashed potatoes and vegetables. Baklava wasn’t up to par, hardly any nuts and was soggy. Lovely waiting staff. Would go back to this restaurant.
