Only my favourite place in PE for the best chicken salad and cake. All their food is fantastic. Fresh ingredients and made with love. So good I order a chicken salad at least once a weekend even more at times. I collect and they go out of their way to ensure everything is on point. It’s set in a nursery so the environment is beautiful too. Best cake selection too. Highly recommend.

The cafe is so beautiful -feels like youre at the botanical gardens.
There is also a pretty Nursery, bookshop and beauty salon.
Cakes are delicious.

Had a tasty light lunch in this delightful Cafe at the back of the nursery. Very tranquil setting, there are couches to relax on while having coffee.

All I am saying is if you offer toast, make toast. If you advertise a particular meal on toast, the bread needs to be toasted and this is not the first time this has happened.

Had a fantastic breakfast here at the Garden Cafe sitting outside. Staff were lovely and smiley and the food was exceptional.

Have often been here for tea, and love the atmosphere and afternoon tea and eats selection, so this was the first time I've been for an actual meal. Was taken there for Mothers Day breakfast. I ordered a lovely sounding dish, but was disappointed, as it was cold and the spinach was overcooked and stodgy. They were very busy, which I guess is the reason for the below par meal and slowish service. Hasn't put me off though, and will still continue going there.

I visited the Garden Café on a recent trip to Port Elizabeth. I live in London now and it's so sad that there really isn't anything like this here. All the same boring franchise coffee shops. It's so lovely to find somewhere with real soul. The setting is just lovely. I love all the little decorative touches and the history of the nursery on the menu. It's a real family affair! The food is really delicious. Massive portions and really great value. I will definitely visit again on my next visit to Port Elizabeth.

AWSOME! Found a little corneron a comfy couch in this charming place...enjoyed a complimentary sherry and ate the best quiche and delicious salad ever. Went 3 times in a row and was never disapointed.

On Saturday, we arrived at the Garden Cafe after they had already closed. Shaun was awesome and accommodating. He assisted us with the perfect combination of treats (Amazing Milktart and Chocolate cake to die for). Shaun was pleasant, helpful and super funny. He is a really great guy and runs a really great cafe. Enjoyed ourselves and appreciated his effort and him going the extra mile to accommodate us after they had already closed.

Great, relaxed, informal atmosphere both inside and outside (in the garden). Breakfast all day with some good value for money options. Never been dissapointed with the food and staff are friendly and efficient. Best selection of cakes in town with good coffee.

I have visited the amazing Sherwood Garden Centre many times however never had enough time to enjoy a meal at the Cafe. This time, my partner and I made this our lunch destination of choice and were blown away by the service, the décor, the menu offerings and then the tasty food, well presented. I had the vegetarian salad which had lots of extra treats like sprouts, avo and roasted nuts with the salad dressing on the side finished with a sprig of fresh herbs. My partner had been hiking in the morning building up a healthy appetite so he had the scrambled eggs and then followed by the cheesy beef burger, all well presented and finished off with fresh herbs. The ambience and food were all very good and looking forward to another visit.

Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to teatime at the Garden Cafe in the Sherwood Garden centre. They serve the tastiest, freshest scones imaginable, as well as a host of other delectable looking sweet treats. The coffee is good quality too and the beautiful setting of the nursery with all its pretty flowers, is balm for the soul. A choice of seating, under cover and outside - caters for all requirements and varied weather conditions. We had an unexpected visit from an exceedingly tame little kwikstertjie, who also gave his nod of approval to the scone crumbs!

A super place to cone and enjoy some really great sweet treats !
A host of lovely tea time offerings - salted cheese cake and lemon meringue as well. R38 a slice.

This is my favourite stop for coffee or tea and cake. The choice is varied and it's difficult to pick one. I wish this stuff was good diet food - then I'd be there every day!
