Disgusting service Took 40 minutes just to bring drink 1 hour to bring food which was disappointing to say the least We ordered a simple fish cake which turned out to be just a hash brown and a toasted sandwich which was disgusting with chips...that was drowning in oil After all that it took 30 mins to bring our bill Which resulted in the manager shrugging off our complaint No regard for customer service and no regard for quality of their food I strongly DONT recommend this placeMore

Outstanding location, beautiful shop and amazing service. I went with family and their food was lovely (generous burger, pizza). I ordered nachos and they were very disappointing- salsa was a teaspoon full on a huge serving and had cucumber in it?! Mince has absolutely no...flavour or spices. And worst of all, the 'refried beans' were literally kidney beans boiled with potato. So disappointing :(More

I was charged R45 for vegan cheese sprinkled on top of a pizza! The vegetable supreme pizza with dairy cheese is R155, to swap the dairy cheese for vegan cheese added another R45! How can that be right? Cornwall brand cheese is cheaper than dairy...cheeseMore

My Mom and I stopped in there on Tuesday at about 12.30. Just for 2 coffees. We are local people who regularly support their farm stall. We were not greeted by any staff member and we found our own table. We had to shift the...concrete base umbrella ourselves -- no staff member even cared that we needed help and there were plenty running around that we saw. We waited for 45 min in vain to get 2 coffees. In that time we got up to find staff and gave our simple order, they did not bring the order. We had to find someone twice more to remind them. No interest. We left due to the appalling service without coffee. Pity that service is so poor.More

Had an amazing breakfast . Venue something special. Outdoor paradise for children. Just a pity they couldn't wait to get you off your seat to get the next ones in. You couldn't relax and enjoy the moment. Not ones did they enquire if everything was...fine . Will come back and see if this is the norm.More

We had a Lovely Sunday afternoon Lunch at the Restaurant. It was full so we had to wait a bit, but probably not more than 10 Minutes. Our food was fresh, delicious and hot! I had a pizza, that had more than enough fillings/toppings on!...No need to “fish” for them! The place is ideal for people with Kids, as there is a lovely play area! The deli/farm stall ia lovely with all sorta of confectionary, jams, craft etc.More

Always enjoy the atmosphere at Grass Roof and service generally excellent. I did notice lately that the prices of food has gone up significantly. I bought some veggies from the stall and ordered a cup of standard coffee - probably the highest I have paid...for take away coffee in PE, ever. R 32. My family ordered vegan pizzas, and again at R 180 per pizza, the most expensive in town! Not sure I can afford to eat here any more - Pity!!More

Best eggs in town - will not buy eggs from anywhere else - also love buying the bird seed bells, the bakery is really awesome - just often sold out of the good stuff - which I guess speaks for itself. Do not enjoy the...restaurant - service is shocking!More

It feels that as Grass Roof expands, there service (if you can call it that) just blows out the window with the sea breeze... When on holiday, I always liked to visit Grass Roof, since the vibe and view is great and the food was...always amazing, but every time we visited over the past few years, I have seen how this restaurant just lack in service and now even food. At least one can suck up bad service, if the food is great, but you wait forever to place an order and then when the food and coffee arrives it is cold... I even had a spider (webs and all) in my rocket and they thought it was a laughing matter and did not give a damn that it was there. They were rather surprised when I asked them to remove it.... It is sad really, since this used to be a great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch...More

The atmosphere at this establishment is very relaxed and tranquil. It has very nice indoor as well as outdoor facilities and is definitely kids friendly. The farm shop has a variety of fine goods and delicacies but pretty pricey. Overall a pleasant experience.
