It was a bad experience. The place is poorly decorated, the food took a long time to be served and it was not special at all.

This place was recommended by our host at the guesthouse we were staying at. Located in an industrial area , we went to the William Moffett branch , its a strange location. Don't let the location and basic set up put you off , the...ribs and chicken was amazing. The drinks are self service from the fridge and the service is decent. Food portions are larger and the rib basting is nice and sweet. Just pick up the food and eat and enjoyMore

We visited the North End restaurant. The food was out of this world. The prawns were the best I have eaten in a long time. Chips fantastic. The peri peri chicken wrapped in the warm toasted Portuguese rolls with chips added and the sauce. Delightful....Definitely will go there againMore

We were a large group meeting the day before a cycle tour. I was pleasantly surprised to find a healthy option in the grilled Fish and salad. I tasted the prawns and chicken too. - all super tasty and served by efficient staff.

Went to Cubatas William Moffett, first thing we were asked as we sat down was "did you make a booking" . The place is Empty (10 open tables, mostly 6 seaters), and we got attitude from the manager. The next things was "do you mind...moving when we get full", the place never got full. The 10 empty places turned to 11, than 12... How can you receive guests like that? To top it off, people that arrived with us got their food ate and left before we got food. A full hour wait, must say it was cool to watch the sky colours change as the sun goes down. Just bad that I had to do it hungry. Vary unprofessional with no regard for doing business properly. Won't go there again, and I've been to all the Cubatas. 1 star because the food was great, but the experience is all about the mood and atmosphere and they spoiled it from the moment we entered.More

I took my dad there for a dinner on a friday evening only to be dissapointed in ther lack of service, for such a well known resturant. When we arrived we were not greeted and couldent identify any of the staff members from customers as...they were wearing casual wear with no branding. After waiting nearly 15mins I found one staff member and asked for a table. I was then impolitely told theres no tables available now and the waiting time is 40mins+. This kind of service is appauling, no matter how good your food is, if you dont have good service then you shouldent be in the hospitality industry. I suggest that your staff wear some branding to identify them from other customers and have atleast 1 person greeting you at the door and informing you of available space. Maybe only then will I be back.More

You can never really book, this is a first come first serve restaurant, but if you manage to get in....then you are ready for a treat. At least theres now 3 Cubata restaturannts in PE , so should not be a problem toget the best...prawns and ribs at affordable prices. Just dont forget to take your own alcohol with, as they are not licensed!More

We heard about this restaurant from previous visitors to port Elizabeth, to be sure this is not fine dining, but if you like good food without pretentious atmosphere this place will fill those needs nicely. We bought our own wine which is perfectly accessible and...had a rack of ribs that were done with their own sauce. This is not a full service restaurant but they will bring the food to your table. I liked the atmosphere as it was just a fun Friday night out for everyone. If you like ribs this is a must stop in Port Elizabeth.More

A no frills warm and welcoming eatery with wonderful, down to earth food. The ribs, peri-peri chicken and chips are fantastic. Best eaten with fingers of course! The restaurant is not licenced but they allow you to bring your own booze if you want. Will...definitely visit again next time I am in Port Elizabeth.More
