The butternut and bacon gnocchi

The butternut and bacon gnocchi dish is the best gnocchi I have eaten in any restaurant I have visited. The flavours were amazing and gnocchi itself was prepared to perfection. My wife had the beef and broccoli noodles, which was also very good. The our waiter was great and the overall experience was brilliant. A certain must in PE.

Healthy Options with a Pleasant Atmosphere

Great location with a view of the ocean if you get a seat on the upstairs deck. The menu does not have the variety of other restaurants, but it does offer healthier fare, such as beetroot juices and couscous salads. The service was efficient and friendly. If you’d like a healthier option with a nice view, this is the place for you.

Excellent breakfast at Boardwalk Hotel location

My family had breakfast at the new Boardwalk Hotel location and enjoyed an excellent meal. We dined on the second floor outdoor patio on a bright sunny morning. The restaurant was busy and the service was a little slow, but did not impact our dining experience. A nice spot to enjoy a casual meal.

Steak was very chewy

Our experience at Hello! It’s me! last night was unfortunately tainted with very tough steak. The portion size was also not 200g but that was rectified by our waiter when we enquired about the tiny piece of steak. The sauce was also not as much as usual. We also disliked the large study group that met up at the restaurant. They were very loud! Maybe not an appropriate meeting place for a study group when orher diners want to have a relaxing or romantic evening. Service and chocolate cake still very good!

FOOD INEDIBLE. Feeling bothered and robbed by the manager who just didn’t care. Major waste of money.

My meal was inedible. Ordered the Mexican flat bread which was so sweet it tasted like dessert. Apparently they had added sugar to the Avo which the flat bread was drenched in. Also didn’t taste like sugar but almost like lemon curd/jam or something that the Avo was mixed in with. Anyways the waiter didn’t even tell anyone that I wasn’t happy with my meal after I took one bite and asked him to take it away. He just dumped it in the kitchen and never came back to the table. I had to pay for something I didn’t even eat. And then after I had to query, the manager was also just as unhelpful saying ‘sorry they mix sugar in the avo’ but offered no recourse. Come on guys, if I order a Mexican flat bread then that’s what I expect to get. Major waste of money, I actually feel robbed by the manager as I didn’t even eat my meal but was forced to pay for it.

Overpriced and tasteless

Hello Its Me Boardwalk gets a Hell Nooo from me. From arriving with loud music to inedible Pork Belly which was overpriced this really was quite awful. The Pork Belly tasted like fish and the crackling was so tough you couldn't bite through it.VERY disappointing.A friend had a salad / Poke Bowl which also was dry and without any sauce.

Waitress ignores complaint

We both ordered a Chicken, bacon and avocado toasted sandwich. When my wife tried to eat a piece of bacon she could not bite through it. She showed the waitress that she could not break it by holding it in her teeth and pulling it with her fingers. The waitress responded with I’m sorry and just walked away. We got the same response when she complained again after leaving most of her meal

Fresh food, worth trying!

The food felt fresh and enjoyed and even came back for dinner after lunch. Some might find the portions a bit small. I however felt like it was the perfect amount. Good deals!

Saddened but rewarded by the food

I have been to the Walmer store several times and I can’t fault it at all Always a pleasure to visit Awesome food awesome service Buy NOT Boardwalk They had 4 tables downstairs and I was one of them I was greeted at the door and shown to the table , given a menu 7/8 mins later somebody asked me if I wanted a drink I ordered 2 beers Sat at the table for nearly 10 min before it eventually arrived From there it did get slightly better I ordered Sushi and a bowl and I must compliment the kitchen it was SUPERB Management train your waitrons as there is not really anything complimentary I can say about them Maybe even your greet and meet can assist instead of standing at the counter the whole time The only reason I would go back is fir the food Next time I will get upset and perform If they were busy I could understand but sadly NOT

Five star food and service

What a fabulous little spot with a view across Nelson Mandela Bay. It was too windy to sit outside - it must be gorgeous out there on a still day - but we had a table right next to the window, so could still admire the view. The service was excellent (thank you Calmy, and the two guys behind the bar who made the most delicious cappuccino) and the food really good. Between the three of us we had the Old Man Steak, the quinoa-fried chicken, and the line fish of the day. All of them were excellent, with delicious green vegetables cooked to perfection on the side. Five stars for food and service and ambience!

Hello! It’s me - Boardwalk

Extremely bad service from chef and waiters! Waiters are not trained and uniformed. They do not even have the basic communication skills of listening and talking. Chef was rude. We had out drinks and left after sending back the food order that was wrong.

Super Tasty Health Menu, Great Vibe Staff, Lovely Music. Beautiful Setting. The sea view from the first floor, as well as the wonderfully looked after palm tree garden, offer's such free mind space for artist, writers and year end work functions, it seemed also to other professional work project managers. . .

Interesting menu options

We had two meals there, eating through the Bacon & cheese burger. Balaji chicken burger, Kung Pao chicken and whole red Roman. Certainly delicious, attentive service, and great view.

Nice little find

Nice little spot for breakfast, food comes quick, nice coffee and smoothies and the staff are friendly. The space is cool with nice furnishings. Must go back and try for dinner before I leave SA.
