Lovely situated in the garden this Bakery has a lot of potential. The bread and pastry look great. Unfortunately our waitress seemed under trained and not suitable for the job. She could not answer any of our questions and mixed up our order. The food...More

To whom it may concern, We are sorry you were discontent with the service you received from your waitress. Next time, we suggest asking the manager your questions as she is generally more clued up on everything in our establishment. It sounds as though you...More

Although it is a relaxed venue outside in the courtyard, our service was slow despite 4 waiting staff. I ordered the Spinach and Smoked Salmon Quiche, but the pastry at the bottom was still raw, and the filling a bit too runny and uncooked. Obviously...More

The restaurant has a lovely court-yard style set-up with a very European feel to it. We popped in for a coffee take-away and some baked goodies. For a well-known coffee shop, we were surprised at having to wait so long to be noticed and acknowledged...More

Centrally situated and incredibly reasonably priced breakfast which was delicious. Service on the slow side so not ideal if in a rush but for a relaxed breakfast ideal. Take away breads also superb.

Bonjour! Welcome to our quaint bakery and café! If we were to describe our business, the words that come to mind would be: friendly, fresh, family & of course – FRENCH. Founded in the small town of Plettenberg Bay, our business has now been going strong for over 10 years, built solely on the principles of artisanal bread, aromatic coffee and delicious homemade food. We, Florence Chabanel & Jane Hops, strive to bring you traditional French cuisine & pastries in the holiday heart of South Africa!
