Having read the reviews I was really looking forward to dining in Nguni. My husband and I shared the bobotie spring rolls for starters and they were to die for but that was the only positive for me. Our main courses arrived as soon as...More

This would normally be rated as excellent but because of the very high standard of restaurants in South Africa it has to be very good. The steaks were lovely and the desserts to die for! One minor point was that the potatoes tasted like they...More

An absolute joy to find a genuine African restaurant amongst a sea of predictability and ennui. Fortunately we booked in advance as it was rammed to the gunwhales even in midweek from the off---I can see why. Reasonably, if not cheaply priced, it offers genuine...More

This was our best meal in South Africa. The meat was perfect, and the sides were also great (vegetables and potatos). They have good options of wine as Well. It is not cheap but worth.

We started off with a homemade bread loaf in a flowerpot and a rose wine. Simply awesome! The menu is small but the food is great! They serve a variety from Caprese Salad with homemade Mozzarella to Springbok Loin in red wine jus. Even a...More

The ostrich steak was outstanding I could have had 3 more of those. My gf had the springbok which was delicious as well. Overall the ambience, the waiter and the wines were very good.

Very nice decor and furnishings. Staff are well trained and on the ball but it fell short with the food. Real simple good food, made too fussy and just wasn't outstanding. Maybe too many ingredients, but we were disappointed and though that perhaps Nguni trades...More

Nguni Restaurant Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!
