After being in Hermanus and Wilderness where we were rather disappointed after being spoiled at the winelands, Nguni exceeded our expectations. We had a great starter with the Mezze platter and squids and as a main course beef and ostrich fillet which was very tender!...More

There wasn't as much game on the menu as I remembered from my last visit, but the springbok I had was well cooked and presented. Good choice of starters and desserts as well. It was busy, so there was a bit of noise, but that's...More

We had a great meal at Nguni with excellent service from Elias. My tuna carpaccio followed by Springbok steak were excellent, as was my wife’s gazpacho and fillet steak. Our desserts were well balanced and the wine choice very good. No hesitation in recommending Nguni...More

One of the best of the downtown restaurants. We had a good meal, nicely presented. Our server was very attentive. Good choice of dishes, nice atmosphere. Booking essential in the summer.

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. As true tourists, we went for the bobotie spring rolls as staters, and ostrich and springbok for mains. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection. The Babel red was a perfect accompaniment. And Danny, our waiter, was very attentive...More

Nguni Restaurant Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!
