The food was delicious and the service extremely attentive. The final bill came as a pleasant surprise and was very reasonable. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Plett.

After eating mostly fish our whole holiday we decided to try a meat restaurant. We weren't disappointed! Wine by the glass was good, meal was very good. Waitress was friendly and efficient.

This is a lovely relaxed restaurant. My siblings and I ate dinner here. I ordered steak- which tasted excellent, so chewy and cooked well. My brother ordered Springbok (South African national animal) which was even nicer! It's a dark brown meat, served with beetroot. I'm a coeliac, and the steak sauce (garlic) was gluten free. Dessert was lovely, my sister... More

Went for Valentines Day dinner, which may have contributed to the disappointment. Very, very busy night. Felt understaffed. Long waits and staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didn't think the food was particularly special either, no better than many of the restaurants we ate in along the garden route and in Cape Town. Wouldn't recommend on the basis of this experience.

From the outside, you'd hardly know it was there but once in, the restaurant is quite spacious, with a very pleasant outdoor terrace as well as comfortable indoor area. Staff were extremely welcoming and the service was very good - as was the food and wine.

Not the cheapest but certainly amongst the best eating in Plett. If they have the springbok it is so tender and cooked to perfection. Chef knows what he is doing. Also recommend the tuna carpaccio and the meringues. Service excellent and professional.

Small tucked away restaurant. A place to go smart casual rather than casual. Service bordered on formal but a good knowledge on the menu and contents. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was minamilstic but flavoursome. Recommend the fillet steak and the ostrich fillet. Reasonable cost although don't expect to come away bloated. Recommended.

Nguni Restaurant
Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!
