We called in here for drinks, having already booked a meal next door at Zinzi's and were blown away by the gorgeous setting of the restaurant and bar. It has a magical atmosphere being surrounded by trees, with running water features and with both indoor...and outdoor seating areas. The bar service was second to none, with the chief waiter regularly checking that we were ok, even though we were not eating. The restaurant is obviously very popular, as it was completely full on a Wednesday evening. The lodges are on stilts, look very luxurious, are very private and sit well above the ground close to inter-connecting walkways. Although we only stayed a short while, we enjoyed it so much that we would definitely go back again for a meal and possibly stay in a lodge up in the tree tops, if ever we visited again. Well recommended.More

Had an excellent Valentines evening, we were treated like gold, and the little finishing touches, like personalised menus, just added to the absolutely perfectly cooked and presented meals! Well done, and thank you!

What a stunning location!! It's a great concept and obviously a lot of thought went into designing the venue...most impressive. The service was great and the accommodation was perfect. My only gripe, and that of my friend as well, is that we did not enjoy...the meals we had at supper...both meals were extremely fatty and greasy and we both felt sick afterwards. Breakfast was a winner though.More

We ate in the restaurant one night of our stay at Tsala. Unfortunately it was a chilly night and whilst we sat by the fire the doors were open and we felt the cold. The food was good and they tried really hard to make...it feel like a fine dining experience - personalised menus, canapés, a palate cleanser - but this didn't quite work with the wholesome food and it seemed to make the staff uptight and formal. A few tweaks and we are sure they will get it right.More

Thank you! Beautiful room, friendly staff (especially the people who take care on the rooms and the whole estate). Positives: Rooms Estate as such Most personel Lots of little extra efforts Room service Clean Service in general Atmosphere in restaurants is good Dislikes: Food in...Restaurants is not that good in my view (Zenzi is good) Variety of restaurants (they seem to be all using the same ingredients) Variety of breakfast buffet Wine list (missing top notch wines) Wine by the glass list (please offer some blends by the glass and more choice) Others: Its like in the jungle, therefore there is a lot of maintenance necessary to keep the hotel in good shape. Well done! Pricing is a bit expensive in my view, given the level of hospitality. Nevertheless a trip worth. Thanks to the teamMore

Dined at Tsala during recent visit to Plettenberg. The setting is amazing as are the staff who to take special care to ensure you have a memorable experience in this superb restaurant and location. The little touches before and during the meal from the chef...add to the whole dining experience. The food is first rate.More

What an incredible world class experience! Magical in every conceivable way! Apart from the unique design of all the suites being elevated exactly like tree-houses, they're fully luxurious, fully equipped and absolutely magnificent. This together with breath-taking views; all with private pools too! The service...is world class. Food off the charts, simply delicious. Not to mention all dietary requirement taken into account with individualized, personal menus with plenty of different options for each meal too! Karin Webber and her team, truly exceptional. Every single person that I engaged with went way beyond the call of duty! Attentive from the minute we arrived to when we left. Sincere thanks once again for the most magnificent 3 days, hope to be back soon!More

After a 3 day short break...you return relaxed, then Tsala “Elevated Resting” is worth considering. Upon arrival till we left...staff was always there to ensure your stay remained pleasant. Thanks to Karin, Lisa and Harmony for making our stay absolutely comfortable. The location, views and...the rooms are unforgettable. We didn’t get to use the dedicated splash pool (too cold for time of year) but we were tempted. The bathroom is spacious and no amenities are spared (hair dryer, vanity & shaving kit). There is TV and Wi-Fi, but we weren’t there for that....only but to relax and enjoy three restaurants located on the Hunter Estate, from Tsala Treetop Restaurant, Sage and Zinzi. We did make use of the Harmon/Kardon Bluetooth speaker - lovely way to close out the evening. I struggle to fault the place - which is well kept & maintained. Looking forward to returning with family.More

Visited Tsala for dinner with my boyfriend whilst staying at nearby Elephant park (literally opposite entrance to Tsala). We were treated to an intimate dinner in what I assume is usually the lounge. It was a fantastic experience set up by the manager Karin due...to a quiet evening at Tsala and was so wonderfully personalised. We were served by Bonelwa and taken good care of. The food was excellent with plenty of amuse bouches to try. Tsala is African themed and I loved all the art and artefacts to look at whilst dining. Thank you for having us.More
