Our hotel recommended Que Rico. The restaurant picked us up (free pickup and return). My wife had the pizza - said it was delicious. I had the rice with shrimp - volcano shape. We shared the focaccia caprese salad on bread - it was superb. Our friends had the salmon and a sphagetti dish. We all enjoyed our meals, service was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere of this very nice Italian restaurant

Ordered for delivery after a long day. Friendly person answering the phone and taking the order in English. Confirmed they deliver to our hotel and was told it would be 45 minutes - not bad for a Saturday night.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Food arrived warm (and cold), just as it should.
Had the Pasta Alfredo. Great flavor, not too creamy but a wonderful flavor profile with small bits of ham and mushrooms. Comes with a side of toast. Generous portions.
The chicken fajitas were amAzing. Slightly a sweet sauce with chicken, peppers and onions. Only downside is the tortillas were slightly soggy from being in the same container.
For dessert ordered the brownie sundae. Like a hot lava cake, with the ice cream in separate cups and didn’t even melt. Delicious and well made, warm fudge and good texture.
Delivered in the time referenced. Came with plastic utensils and napkins and served in styrofoam wrapped in plastic to avoid spills.
Consensus - can we order from here again tomorrow!!

The service and food at this restaurant were incredible. We stopped on our way out of La Fortuna, not knowing what to expect. From the moment that we arrived we were treated like family. Karina and Gabriela went above and beyond, even allowing our nephews to make their own pizzas while providing them with the cutest aprons and chef hats.
The food was delicious too! We all had the fire oven pizza and the kids also had the chicken nuggets, which were made with real fresh chicken. It was an all around amazing dining experience.

My husband and I came here one night for dinner since we were staying at the hotel. It was worth it for a night when we did not feel like going out but I would not necessarially recommend that you go out of your way to come here. Overall the fish I had was flavorful but the other food we had was only average and since it was a hotel restaurant the prices felt higher than they should be.

Honestly, this was one of the best meals I had in my 5 days spent in La Fortuna. My husband and I each had a glass of red wine (yummy), shared a Caesar salad to start, and shared two pizzas (Hawaiian and pesto prosciutto). We had plenty of pizza leftover and thought it was better than our options back home in Massachusetts! We were completely sold on dessert too - a sort of dumpling filled with Nutella and almonds alongside vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce! Great service, great food!

Had the opportunity to stay and eat here with my partner and we had an amazing experience. Hernan and his staff are incredibly hospitable and engaging. They also made one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had - and I’m incredibly picky when it comes to dough and crust. Will recommend over and over.

Que Rico is a great restaurant in La Fortuna. The pizza is some of the best we've ever had. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant is also the breakfast spot for Hotel Arenal Volcano Inn and each day's breakfast was very good and filling with many options.

Food very good. Service very good.
Review is based strictly on principle. The menu clearly states in red print that “all menu prices are inclusive of sales tax 13% And 10% service tip”
The waiter could not explain why the final bill had the 23% added again.
If you visit this place and that would bother you, you might want to raise the question before your order to confirm that 46% is actually what they are charging.

Food was A +. My son had spaghetti bolegnese, husband had shrimp fettuccini and I had the tilapia with stuffed shrimp. Everything was amazing. Also the hazelnut gelato and strawberry gelato for dessert.
The wine the waiter suggested - Mandus- primativa grape- was amazing. Will be back soon!

Very disappointing. Portion sizes were small - both of my girls were still hungry. Alfredo was better than the Ravioli. Biggest issue was they forgot to send salad dressing and then took forever to send it without ever apologizing. I one wanted the salad by the time the dressing came. My guess is reason it has good reviews is because it delivers to hotels close by - easier than driving.

The pizza is good but you really come here for the Lomo. It is juicy and tender and hits the spot. It is served with crispy, roasted potatoes in rosemary and the chimichurri couldn’t be better. Lastly, you must end the meal with the brownie and vanilla ice cream dessert. The warmth of the brownie along the melting ice cream is mind blowing. Edgar treated us very pleasantly throughout the meal.

We were tired of rice and beans after nearly a week. We wanted something familiar and searched review after review looking for an option to suit our tastes. We don’t usually eat pizza, but heck, we were on vacation.
We ordered a Cesar salad, which was solid. Wife liked that it was cut up julienne style so it was easier to eat. The pizza was half Hawaiian and half pepper, onion and mushroom. One if the best pizzas in recent memory. Crust was thin, crispy, toppings flavorful and abundant. Just the right size for us to share. Also ordered cheese raviolis with pesto cream. Ended with a coffee flan and cappuccino.
Price was more than reasonable at around 27 CR
Service was excellent
Atmosphere was casual, place very busy, very clean too.
While receiving our check, we told the waiter we wanted to stay at our table while we waited for Uber. He was able to arrange a shuttle for $8 so we didn’t need Uber. We thought that was the cherry on top of a great meal.
If you are looking for familiar cuisine done exceptionally well at a very reasonable price, give this place a try!

We were staying 3 nights @ the Arenal Volcano Inn . The restaurant is on premises.
Good breakfast, weak coffee...could have been better. Nice fuit, and CostaRican dishes, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Banana bread and toast w butter and packaged jams. Good friendly service. Other than the coffee, no complaints.
We had dinner twice. The first evening, we had the Aztec soup, the tenderloin with sauteed potatoes and vegetables and the lava cake w ice cream and the Bacci Perugina. I had wine and my husband had beer. Everything was delicious. The tenderloin outstanding. Cooked to perfection, medium rare. Our waiter, Edgar was friendly and very eficient.
Our second evening, I had a delicious margarita and my husband had a Bavaria beer. We shared a nice Caprese salad. We both ordered the pasta Bolognese, which came w nice toasted bread. The pasta was a nice porción but was not al dente and needed a little more seasoning. Good but not memorable. Adrian was our waiter and he was also friendly and serviceable.
Prices are very reasonable.

After three days straight of asado and arroz con pollo we wanted to mix it up. Given the Italian influence in the country, pizza was a no brainer. This is a hidden gem. Isaac was outstanding and rivaled most pizzerias I have eaten at back in the states. Super friendly staff, very accommodating for families with picky eaters. A definite must in my opinion. It’s a little pricier that’s typical local food however it’s worth it.

This is by far the tastiest Pizza we’ve had in our lives…we travel alot and we eat alot of good food but this definitely stands out from the rest.
Not only the taste but also the smell, the texture and the fresh ingredients were hitting the spot.
We had two different pizzas and they were both extraordinary.
The staff is also friendly and the place is open and welcoming. Shout out to our waiter Adriano who was also telling us about the hardships they experienced during covid and how the restaurant is trying and succeeding to land back on its feet.
Give this place a try and try and if you enjoy it as much as i did take a shot for me 😊.
