We visited Veda yesterday with our parents after like a year and half. The time taken to serve dinner was like an endless wait. Every time it was checked, the guys kept saying 5-10 mins. After a wait of 45 minutes, we had to leave...without dinner being served and there was no apology or remorse the staff had. They never even offered that we will pack the food and you can take home. Even at the time we left, the food wasn’t ready !! The folks who came after us, got the food. The staff looked liked they are on first day of service. Would recommend everyone not to visit this place. Definitely, this is on red list for us not to visit again !! Hope the management reads these reviews.More

PATHETIC Water was served post our dinner post numerous reminder. Dahi ke kebab was served cold. We ordered spicy Paneer kundan kaliyan but was served sweet & when questioned the staff was like this is our signature dish. We were served regular water but they...charged packed bottle water, this came to our notice later on when we have left the place. Bill attached for your reference, we tried meeting the owner to express our grievance but he kept poking from his kitchen window & didnt have the courage to face me even when i was totally polite & waited for 15 mins. PLEASE IGNORE VEDA. Cheers to allMore

We loved the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. Sort of reminiscent of a speakeasy style of restaurant in the states. The food was delicious and the service was fine. We would definitely return.

For our very first meal in Delhi on this trip we went to Veda in Connaught Square. It was very "Indian" and a delight after an absence of some time. Atmosphere pleasant, staff very courteous and helpful. Food choice was excellent with a good range...of north Indian delicacies. Well located and clean. Prices reasonable, but obviously expensive by local standards.More

We were Australian tourists visiting New Delhi, and went to Connaught Place in the afternoon. We went to nearby Veda at the recommendation of my son and his wife, who had visited 6 months previously. It was quiet and the staff were very attentive. Great...food, as recommended by our waiter, and reasonably priced. A great choice for us.More

Located in one of the less busy streets of Connaught Place, this is a lovely, quiet restaurant serving traditional North Indian food. After some pappads, we had the Lamb Nihari with a garlic naan and the Chicken Dum Biryani. The food and service were both...excellent . With 2 beers each the final bill came to around 3500 RS or £38 which is fantastic value for this kind of quality. Recommended.More

Beautiful place with delicious food. Mutton Nihari was awesome. Fully recommend. A little costly but the taste is worth it. Manager is a good host there. The staff is soft spoken and everything is amazing. Great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

Was recommended this restaurant and have no idea why it is rated as excellent as all started wrong. Starter was tasteless, the main meal itself was overcooked and mushy and soft, one dish was under-cooked, the roti was burned on outside and doughy in centre....I sent one dish back and would have sent all of it back if I could. It lacked expertise in flavour and execution. The initial attitude of management when I voiced my concern that all dishes were inedible, was one of arrogance and it took time to negotiate a discount as I refused to pay for such an appalling meal. I travelled Kolkata, Chennai and Jaipur and this meal was worst of my whole trip. I would not bother to come here, far better places in Delhi to eat.More

The most beautiful place located in Connaught Place, Delhi. Ambiance is awesome and the seating is so beautiful which adds a royal touch. Veda restaurant serves authentic Indian food. I liked their food taste. The portion of all these dishes was also good, which is...really impressive. Prices are also reasonable and pocket friendly. Staff was courteous and attentive. Beautiful place to go with your family. Overall it was a good experience.More

They didn't have candles when I was there at lunch, but the chandeliers and other lighting were very ambient - not horrible and bright and glaring.
