Take the advice of other reviews and book ALL your food in advance. Arrive before 7 because it's a tiny place with one cook so service will be slow if more than 2 tables booked. Deep-fried red snapper a must. It's Thailand. You're gonna get...mozzies. Would rate it excellent if they could cope with more than a few customers.More

After TA reviews we really fancied this place. Have ordered garlic and pepper grouper. A but disappointed it came deep fried and not grilled as it was not written on the menu (yes we should have asked). But all together it was really tasty! With...some rice and papaya salad! Yum! We were a group of six adults with children that ate there 3-4 times. We ordered several dishes: grilled fish, papaya salad, massaman curry, pad thai, glass noodles salad, fried chicken and more. Everything we ate was very fresh, large portions and cooked to perfection....The restaurant is run by a lovely couple that really tries to make it a wonderful experience. Our favorite restaurant in Koh Phangan being closed, we were eating at Alex's. Without regrets ! An authentic and delicious restaurant. For my part I ordered pad Thai, unfortunately there was more. But the lady advised me a similar dish, I dreaded and finally it...was a delight! I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.More

Sorry to say this but I found this a dreadful experience. Poorly prepared food, cockroaches on the table and running next door for soda water and beer. Very amateurish but I am told that their BBQ fish is good.
