The restaurant itself is simple yet the food is very delicious. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. I had the octopus for 2 (yes, I ate it all by myself), oysters and homemade creme brûlée made with condensed milk. Everything was spectacular...especially the octopus. The view of the lagoon was beautiful too. Definitely recommend!More

Simple restaurant with very friendly staff. Osysters and steak is recommended. They present very good caipirinha. A restaurant for every day.

The restaurant is in front of Lagoa da Conceição, a lagoon. It is specialized in seafood, and the food is really good, well prepared! It is possible to try fish, shrimps, octopus, etc. A very good option, good food with beautiful view!

We had an enjoyable, leisurely lunch on a beautiful, sunny day. The view of the Lagoa is wonderful. Regretfully, individual aspects of the meal were just a bit disappointing. The day we visited, the restaurant was out of fresh oysters --the steamed ones were fine,...but not too special. The pasteis (one shrimp, one bacalhau) were tasty but quite greasy. The Polvo a Lagoreiro was nice, but the octopus not at its most tender. All in all, a good lunch, but with no truly memorable dishes.More

I cannot stress how welcoming and charming the atmosphere is! A truly amazing place to eat whenever you are visiting Lagoa da Conceição

Went to Barba Negra for lunch with a couple of friends and was great. We had a good time. Service was very friendly, we brought our own bottle of wine and was totally fine (but they charge the "cork"). The shrimp pastel was delicious and...we also had the "peixe a espanhola", that in the occasion was served with grey snapper, a real treat! We went with our daughter and was ok, but they don't have a "kids area". Overall was a very pleasant lunch time, and I am looking forward to do it again.More

This restaurant along the shore of Lagoa de Conceição & near to Praia Mole is known for its octopus & seafood dishes. They also do a delicious shrimp dish called camarão de moranga (or moranga de camarão - can’t remember which) which is a creamy...shrimp served in a roasted pumpkin & served with rice.More

We ate Polvo a barba negra y camarao na moranga Both really good, well done and very tasty. Top seafood restaurant. You can tell by the smell of the place as soon as you get in. Smells like fresh seafood! The caipiroskas really good too...and some variety of artesanal beers. The waiter was excellent and told us the main dish was going to take 30 minutes because the place was full. Being that upfront is a good service and a good idea. All goodMore

This restaurant was a bit far from where we were staying (get an Uber!) but waterfront location and restaurant was cosy and with good air con. Food was delicious (I had some flaky fish steaks with potatoes and my husband had the fish moqueca) and...wine was chilled and yummy. We had doce de leite pudding which was also good. Very good seafood!More
