This was the first time at this establishment. On the drinks menu was Seybrew I asked if it was in a bottle and was told yes, and I pointed out that it was a 33cl drink as advertised on the menu, yes it was.... when...the beer arrived it was a 280ml bottle and the volume had been scratched off but I know that Seybrew only comes in 280ml bottles. When the waiter came back with the food I asked him why it wasn't a 33cl drink as advertised and he said that Seybrew only comes in 280ml bottle. I asked why he was advertising a 33cl Seybrew when it only comes in 280ml. Instead of apologising he started to make excuses that theSeybrew cans come in 33cl and also there had been a price change and that they hadn't got round to changing the menus, even though a price change would still make advertising Seybrew for 33cl bottle. I will never return to this establishment as they made no apology, only excuses. This is false advertising and they should be prosecuted under fair trading.More

Delicious food with a French flair, but the service was abysmal – an insult to the chef as well as the guests. Three stars are the result of five for the food and one for the service. Not that it was hostile, or even unfriendly...– just incompetent and slooooooooow. The wine and the fish soup (soupe de poissons) – delicious, came fairly quickly, but the extras for the soup (rouille, etc.) came about five minutes after the soup. When the main courses came (much later) mine came ten minutes before my wife’s – surely a no-no in any restaurant. We saw one other couple order and then give up waiting and leave. Nevertheless, the fish soup was one of the best ever and my red snapper was superb, as was my wife’s tapas plate.More

I ate here twice, and given how simple the place is, the food was really delicious. I had red snapper and octopus curry and both were really good. Especially octopus curry.

At the entrance of the restaurant, full view, you have a huge pizza oven facing you. So you are in for a pizza. You cannot expect the lobster to be divine, lest the foie gras I give it a five, because for what it is,...the pizza's in the middle of the indian ocean, taste like good pizza's. It is a simple restaurantMore

We ordered the seafood platter with high expectations but unfortunately it did not deliver as the lobster was no where to be seen even thou we asked before we order if it comes with Lobster the other seafood on it was good and tasty but...we expected lobster and that was very disappointing as the price you pay is a Lobster price.More

The food was decent. I had the catch of the day, which was parrot fish. It was cooked perfectly. It is expensive, so we spent a small fortune there. The staff clearly do not have much experience, but they are friendly enough. Or at least...at night. I went back a few days later to get a pizza to take away and have a few drinks while waiting. They tried to shunt us off to the side on to some uncomfortable seats. Only one other table had any other patrons. The lady was very impolite, so we just went elsewhere. Plenty of choices, I won't give them my money again.More

This was one of my favourite restaurants on Eden Island, there's great views of the harbour and the mountains, you can sit inside or out but what I liked outside is there's a fair amount of BREEZE! Unlike other restaurants there unless you're sitting under...a fan or inside it's muggy and hot. The service there is very friendly, there is always people around, all food is cooked to order and the ingredients very fresh so you can expect to wait 10-15mis for them to cook a fillet of fish. The portions are generous and it all tastes yummy. I've had the Grilled Bourgeois/Red Snapper with Creole sauce, rice and satini/salad, it was VERY good!! They have home made ice cream, I recommend the chocolate, vanilla and pistachio - yum! 3 scoops was a lot for me so maybe next time just 2 but hard to resist with so much choice. The cocktails are 'real' cocktails they're not overly diluted with other condiments nor concentrated juices (again fresh) so they can be a tad strong but if you want a real cocktail then this is the place to go! We've also had the breakfast which compromised of bacon, 2 sausages, eggs (either fried, omelette, poached or scrambled) with a small portion of beans, 2 slices of toast (butter/jam), juice and tea or coffee. Just about the right portions to start the day. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, you won't be disappointed. Merci Beaucoup!!More

Staffs are annoying. I was waiting for another 3 dears to join. Staff asked me few times to order, wasn’t sitting more than 10min when another staff told me she will only give me another 5min or to leave, the place isn’t busy at all....Unwelcomed communication and said it’s always been like this befor I came too and itz Manager’s call. Ordered food to share then we were told we have to pay $50 extra per person. Annoying staff, annoying communication and wouldn’t recommed to anyone and will never come back too.More

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. For those who are true food lovers; well The pictures will explain everything, Osso Bucco Milanese way was terrible and tasteless more than an over cooked stew “ see picture”, spaghetti carbonara horrible “ sorry! One of my...trainee cook would have done better’. Clients are being fooled for the service and food, I was literally surprised to see such a so called upscale restaurant not rendering service that guest are paying for. - We ordered 1 margarita and 1 caipirinha cocktail which was tasteless... - Bread and butter was never served. - We were seated by the waitress then moved to a different table as they forgot that it was a reserved one. Many other more points .... I called the restaurant manager to discuss about my disappointment , the only excuse I got was “ you don’t see we have only 2 people on the floor, come in the kitchen and see that their is only 2 people cooking as well” ... Guys seriously! Is it professional? Especially when a guest is hosting someone else? Nevertheless, we ended up paying for the bill without even eating. Wasn’t looking for any freebies, Only one simple apology would have been enough. I think it’s high time that the owner of this restaurant decides to restructure his business and do training on customer care service before it get worse.More

We discovered the sofas overlooking the marina and decided to order cocktails and tapas at the Havana Bar of the Belle Époque restaurant. Clearly the staff take no notice of anyone sitting away from the restaurant. So we waited and waited until finally our order...was taken. Surprisingly the large Prestige tapas plate was delicious. Just a shame it took so long to order and arrive. And this was on a very quiet Monday afternoon. The attitude of the Manageress(?) was less than friendly when I asked for WiFi password. In summary, far from great, friendly, or speedy service. In hindsight, we visited Eden Island clearly not knowing what to expect. And won’t be rushing back to this sterile and totally lacking in atmosphere retreat for the affluent.More
