My last visit was in July 2020 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Today I was there as Lone Ranger; there was no sidekick Tonto to accompany me. My main was the Rösti de Tudo medium rare. It was done to perfection; moist and tender with...a slight marbling. The rösti and the sauce were a perfect accompaniment. The cream of mushroom soup was awesome; thick and with lots of mushroom bits. For dessert, I had the coconut ice cream drizzled with whisky….a fitting finale to a perfect meal. Staff were attentive and the Chef will swing by to ask how the meal went. A man of few words and prefers to let his cooking do the talking. One of the few places that allows BYO wine or liquor at a nominal corkage. Will definitely make another visit there before leaving the shores of Malaysia. Dining here is by way of advance reservations only so walk-ins will not be admitted. Huck’s Cafe continues to remain well known by way of the word of mouth.More

This is one of my bucket list cafe in KL. We came here few times for dinner. We love the steak and it’s super nice. The dessert also very very delicious. Price wise we are acceptable for the fine dining experience

Quite cozy, taste nice and people are friendly. I went to the restaurant for birthday party and found the place was the best fit for celebrating the special occasions. The outer of restaurant looks house but inside it, you will see sophisticated interiors somehow with...south and middle America flavor. Definitely I will recommend my close friends to visit it.More

Was not overly impressed with this homestyle food restaurant housed in a detached home down a dark lane in Bangsar. Pleasant house and quite well decorated with separate dining areas so you can be assured of privacy. You have to book and then the restaurant...will send you the choice of dishes. Pumpkin or mushroom soup to start with a slice of garlic bread while the desserts are ice cream mud pies, durian ice cream or crème brulee. There is a quite a range of main courses...one of our party had a nice piece of cod, one had a tasty marinated truffle steak , one a seafood dish, a Peruvian chicken and two of us enjoyed a slow cooked lamb shoulder with prunes. The main dishes were all OK but nothing spectacular. A bit of a hodge podge of offerings. Would be better if the chef owner concentrated on just three or four main courses and did them really well instead of a number of average offerings. at RM150 or RM180 (depending on what you choose) for three course and two sugary drinks I really think you could get better vale for money at Western hotel coffee shops.More

Chef Huck Sin churns out 5* quality meals, some of the dishes are the best in KL,partly justified the price tag of RM150 per head. It must be mentioned that the portions for all 3 courses were large. However, the drinks accompanying each of the...3 courses mismatched the food viz Basil seed syrup, Calamansi, Hainanese coffee. Maybe acceptable for non wine drinking diners but the strong taste numbed my taste buds - I stopped drinking my CS. The food is fine-dining quality but its a pity that its let down by simple things like: no table serviettes, no paper towel in washroom and no credit card facilities!More

Located at secluded area. Environment was so-so and I hope the owner can put more effort to make it into full retro and do not leave it at half complete. Food was good as we ordered truffle steak and slow cooked lamb shoulder. Soup was...nothing much to shout. Same goes to the dessert. Service was good with staff being so attentive eventhough it is V Day and owner takes the initiative to come out to speak to each table. I would come back for its main course and would skip soup and dessert.More

We always come back here for my wife birthday celebration. This is always our top list as the environment is private, nice ambience and excellent services and foods.

I came here with my sister to celebrate my birthday as a surprise celebration. I'm legit surprise with the dishes that were served Each person is served with 3 different meals which is the soup, main course, and dessert. Starting with the soup, it was...so good. It comes along with garlic bread fuse with parsley I guess and it was really good. For the main course, I had the seafood meal and this part that actually surprised me as I would have never thought to be served with such meal. Not in a bad way but in a great way. It was tasty and each bite make you crave for more but it's a bit too carbs so I get full quickly As for the dessert. The coconut ice cream with mix berries is the bomb. It may be just an ordinary coconut ice cream but as it served with the berries, the taste is like a party in your mouth so it's a really good way to end the courses. Oh and also for the last drinks, it will be either tea or coffee so tea would be the best to have a light ending if you prefer tea over coffee. P.S: The courses are different each time (from what I know. I may be wrong) so it's like an omakase dining but in not Japanese waysMore

Bad cut of steak with a disgusting combination of truffle and HP sauce . The garlic bread was made with stale baguette and topped with chopped dill . Does the chef even know what tastes good ? I’m surprise it’s still around after all these...years . Ate there 10 years ago and it was just as bad if not worse and i swore never to go back . Lamb chops in liquorice and mint sauce on the side ? Can it get any worse than that ? My “ rum and raisin” ice cream was just coconut or vanilla ( I couldn’t really tell) and chocolate ice cream with a tablespoon of rum n a few raisins to garnish . To make matters worse , we had to leave our shoes at the front door . Imagine going on a date , all dressed up and but had to go barefoot . What a put off! Service was extremely slow and poor and our dinner took more than 3 hours !More
