Had a lovely time at creole shack today, the food was so full of flavour and love, it is like being welcomed into the family as you sit down. From there you enjoy a three course meal, all home made, with genuine care for the...food journey you are about to devour. Creole shacks food feeds your belly and your soul. Would recommend to all wanting to enjoy genuine Mauritian hospitalityMore

Lovely family restaurant, the chef who is a very friendly lady welcome you and her husband explain how the restaurant operates, there is no menu card, the lady cooks a starter, a main course and a desert, ofcourse they ask you if you have any...food allergies, but you eat the food of the day, the food is amazing delicious and cook with so much love. We can only strongly recommend this family restaurant ❤️More

What a truly wonderful experience!! We visited the Creole Shack because of all of the fantastic reviews. They weren't wrong, we had a great authentic 3 course home cooked meal and it was delicious. I wish that we had more time to go back again....Definitely need to book in advance. We will be back if we find ourselves in Mauritius again!! 😊More

Amazing local food experience! We got a 3 course menu, a Gateau Piemint as apetiser, a lentil soup and tuna with rice and an amazing coconut home made coconut ice cream, best on the island! The lady owner explained in detail all about the food,...in a very professional but funny way. I totally recommend a visit here dor a genuine Mauritius experience. Thank you!More

A hidden gem in Flic en Flac. Malini was a great host and made us authentic Mauritian food which satistified our cravings. We had a perfect start to our meal with freshly made 'gateaux piments' followed by a main course of lentil soup, prawn chutney,...'fish vindaye' and chicken curry. We were so full from the meal and barely finished our ice cream in the end. Fantastic experience. Will visit again !More

Almost impossible to find in case you do not know about this place, but I was so happy we chose to come here for our last day... Usually we have breakfasts & dinners, this day we have just skipped the breakfast to come for lunch...here - the only time when this cozy place is open. And we have not regretted it - it was an unique experience, almost like being invited to a Mauritian house. You just serve yourself like at home, you get a surprise menu... Awesome! It was very good, not at all expensive and the owners are very heartwarming people! We will for sure come back!More

A small restaurant in the family's own home with limited opening hours but unlimited heart for food. For us, this was without comparison the best dining experience in Flic En Flac. The house's matriarch cooks with depth and love, served by the house's friendly gentlemen....We had a Creole meal with balanced flavors, tastes that take time to conjure. Here, we helped ourselves to drinks and cold glasses while the meal was already decided. A liberating concept. Highly recommended❤️More

Best Creole food our family tasted in Mauritius by far. Simple surroundings but the chef is wonderful in how she explains each course so you understand what the dishes are. Recommend you book as it's a intimate little hide away.

Superb local restaurant in a guesthouse in Flic en Flac. You don’t get to pick the menu which makes the experience even more special! A 3-course menu just like if you were in a Mauritian house!

We booked a couple of days in advance and checked that the lady could cope with a vegan guest, which she could. We all had a delicious 3 course meal. 800 MUR for meat eaters and 600 MUR for vegan/vegetarian. The food was freshly cooked,...and the chef brought us what she was serving that day, checking on any dietary requirements. We all had a delicious starter with a chilli paste, which my husband and son asked for more as it was so tasty. As a vegan, I had dhal soup, jack fruit, aubergine, Mauritian greens, aubergine, rice, coconut pickle, etc. gorgeous! With pomegranate and mango to finish. I even asked where the dessert bowls were from and bought one locally as they were cool.More

Hi, actually, they only have 2-3 different dishes per day, but they are very flexible and will definitely do something vegetarian for you! Greetings, Frank
