If you didn’t have Penang Char Kway Teow, you never been to Penang. You will find one of the most traditional charcoal cooked cuisines with a excellent “wok hei” (wok’s breath). Do expect a 30 minutes or so wait but it is worth it.

It's too oily and wet and totally no "wok hei"(a term chinese used to describe the aroma and taste of the food from very hot woks). I can easily find much better Char Koay Teow in Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya.

according to the locals, there is one corner coffee shop where usually the diner will sit in and eat gives a good indicator. if the shop closed, means it is also uncle's rest day. proven once to me on 31/8/2017(Thurs).
