Stellar. Value for money you won’t find anywhere else in the world quite like this place. So good I ate there twice. I’d eat there three times but they’re closed tomorrow :( 10/10!!!

Outstanding balance of flavours and the best I have tasted in our travels across Malaysia. If you don’t try it you will be missing out on a truly magnificent bowl of food
The best Asam Laksa in the World!! Spring rolls are good too The guy who won the Michelin guide was so kind and polite. My family was so impressed, will be back for it every time I visit Penang
An absolute must when you come to Penang! Delicious Asam Laksa and spring rolls 😋😍‼️ We will absolutely go back before heading to our next stop on our lovely February tour of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Run here !! It’s super delicious the juice and food is great ! Just a couple of different options but try their spring rolls so crispy !
The laksas and spring rolls are uber delicious. This restaurant made our trip truly memorable. The proprietor and his parents are such lovely people. Please eat here!!!!
Small family owned restaurant. They offered 3 things. Lemak Laksa, Asian Laksa and Spring Rolls. This was nice bc it made it easy when ordering. They also make their own juices. Apple and orange or a mix and white/ durian white coffee. We had the...Spring Rolls, one apple and one mixed juice. Inexpensive, easy, and yummy!More
We were keen to try My Own Cafe due to the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We came here for lunch around 1pm and were surprised to find we were the only customers although by the time we had finished another 3 couples had come in....My husband and I both had the Assam laksa which was very tasty - not too spicy but with a bit of a kick. We also shared some spring rolls where the staff member suggested we dip in to the laksa - it was a good tip! Staff were very friendly and our order was taken quickly, and we didn’t have to wait to long before they brought the food out. We also had their freshly squeezed juice. Would definitely recommend a visit to My Own Cafe!More
This was the best laksa I have ever had. Everything we had was delicious and the staff were amazing.
A lovely lunch! We had Spring Rolls (delicious!) and Asam Laksa that was one of the best ever tried! The owner is very kind and he took care of us! Highly recommended!!
Lovely family business, however there were only 2 entrees offered, both spicy. I couldn’t eat mine; husband ate his. The Thai coffee and spring rolls were fine. Malay cuisine is spicy; believe it even when they say mild.
We visited after seeing the great reviews on TripAdvisor and the Michelin Guide. It did not disappoint! Don’t be put off by initial appearances. This place is very “no frills” but great food and lovely staff. We ordered the Asam Laksa (1 each) and shared...1 set of the prawn spring rolls. Delicious. I don’t have a huge spice tolerance so if you’re the same, don’t let this put you off! It only started to hit a bit towards the end of the bowl and was well worth it. No air con, but fans & cold drinks. Service was warm & fast. If in the area, I recommend walking down LBH Armenian after and heading to Picco Polo Cafe for coffee/dessert (beautiful, modern patisserie with air con).More
Good food and good menu..i like this staff so friendly and this restaurant give us a good service.👍👍
Visited on 15th August with our friends and would highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and friendly service. Well worth a visit. 🙂
I have enjoyed the Assam Laksa in My Own Cafe with the wonderful painting of the owner on the wall for the last 7 years. It is still the best I have ever tasted anywhere. The spring rolls are also pretty good too.
