Been here several times and think they serve the best fish and chips on the island by far, amazing food, very friendly helpful staff and value for money.

Beautiful location and amazing food. The chef is excellent and made a special vegan meal for me that tasted divine. Be sure and book ahead for the beef Wellington or roast dinner (Sunday only).
AfterbeingawayfromLangkawiforsixmonthsIcamebackherestraightaway. The bistro is out of town but on the main road. The menu cooked by former QEII head chef Steve is an eclectic mix of Irish, European and Malay. In a very peaceful setting the atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is superb and the...prices very reasonable. Out front Coco and her team offer a slick and efficient service. Try going on a Sunday night when traditional British Sunday roast is served. Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding or roast chicken with stuffing - both served with roast and creamed potato cabbage and carrots and lashings of gravy. Yummi.More
Best Guinness in Malaysia and probably the cheapest pint of Guinness in Asia Small menu but perfectly executed 5* thanks Steve
A must try beach bar that’s away from the main thoroughfare of Cenang Beach area. Altho limited in dining area, this place offers a nice, quiet & undisturbed setting which is not found everywhere in Langkawi. Drink prices are unbeatable compared with other watering hole(s)...on the island & a great food menu to boot! Its not an extensive menu but quality is above average. Thurs-Sun’s menu has more variety & the owner/chef Steve (who’s Irish) really cooks up quality meals. Its a real hole-in-the-wall kind of place & can only be appreciated by those who want peace & tranquility. Just be mindful of the new addy they’re at..More
My third time reviewing this establishment in three different locations over the last 9 years. It's still a 5 star knockout. Coco and Steve still serving up delicious western dishes from a somewhat reduced menu, but arguably that's the essence of a true Bistro -...doing a few things really, really well. The fish and chips was excellent , as was the chicken cordon bleu. Both of the waiters were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere, in that casual alfresco setting under the trees next to the beach...what more could you ask for ? The real knockout discovery was 500ml Draught Guinness for 12 Rm a glass. WHAT! ? Has to be one of the cheapest pints on the planet. Less than half the price of my favourite watering hole in Thailand, and that already cheap by European standards. I'll be back . Tomorrow.More
Coco's has an interesting menu, including Irish stew and English roast beef dinner on Sunday. They serve Guiness! But the best thing is sitting outside on the water's edge and enjoying the sunset here. Not as cheap as local eateries but a favorite expat hangout.
We caught a cab and he took us to the old location as still shown on map. Wrong it is now on beach. Once we did finally arrive not to impressed with entry but the food sure made up for it. How can you beat...a Irish Stew with a pint of Guinness. Other dishes include steak and fish with my partner selection Cordon blue which also was delicious. Wines by the glass what else can one wish for.More
We certainly enjoyed Coco's new location overlooking the bay with the attendant picturesque sunsets. Having repeatedly dined at Coco's over many years we were yet again 101% pleased with every meal we had there with special mention for the Rack of Lamb Steve cooked for...us. Service is very friendly and entertaining thus, when all combined, makes us long to return to Coco's which we will do as soon as possible. Keep the Irish Stew ready !! Note:- Coco's new location and opening times mentioned in previous reviews.More
Coco's Bistro is now relocated at Coconut Beach Villa Langkawi since November 2021. The ambience of this place is perfect for a much satisfying dinner, with the spectacular sunset by the beach. Currently they are operating the bistro from Thursdays to Sundays (closed on Mondays,...Tuesdays & Wednesdays). Their Traditional British Sunday Roasts remains the most popular item on the menu. The Irish chef/owner - Steve's authentic European food draws his regular weekly expatriates & local crowd to patronize his place. Therefore it is required to book in advance, for a table, in order not to be disappointed.More
Came here with Langkawi friends. The story of the food here had reached us in Sarawak. We visited on a Sunday night, the speciality being Roast Dinner. We had the beef & it was spectacular. Best roast dinner I've eaten in years. As an Expat,...we value such things. The beef was perfectly cooked, pink in the centre. Roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, 2 veggies, delicious gravy, even horseradish sauce. Steve the chef is an expert. Book in advance for the Roast. Open 4 days, Roast Sunday only. Beautiful view from the bar too, great sunset 😎😎😎More
When you really fancy a traditional English roast dinner this is the place to be. The owners are lovely as is there food
We were so lucky our friends found this place, as during the MCO lockdown we were all missing Sunday Roasts. Bookings were made for the 3 occasions and food preference given. I had chicken twice and beef once. The baked potatoes were so good and...we could ask for extra, which we always did. Generous serves and plenty of gravy served separately. We always had to sign in and temperature was taken. Nice bar area for pre-dinner drinks. Lovely garden setting. Plenty of parking, friendly owners.More
We saw the reviews on here for this bistro and came during our week long stay in Langkawi. All I can say is wow! This was some of the best food we have eaten in Malaysia, especially for our children who loved a taste of...home. My husband and I both had steak, cooked to perfection and our kids had the Irish Stew which they both lapped up. We returned on the Sunday for gorgeous Sunday roasts. This place looks so unassuming you may miss it,but it would be such a shame. Fabulous place 😊More
I had wonderful and authentic Irish Stew with lamb, potatoes and carrots. Make sure you order bread to soak up the stew to enjoy every bite. The setting is relaxing in a garden. The brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce...was the perfect finishing touch with a cup of coffee. Note the evenings it is open or call ahead to reserve a seat. The service was excellent. It was a romantic evening with candle light on each table. We hope to return soon!More
