About
We came from a large second generation Italian family. Our grandparents, Felice & Louisa, came from a small town outside of Naples and immigrated to America like hundreds of thousands in search of a better life. Felice had many skills, a brilliant mind, an aptitude for learning, and a desire to combine the two. However, his passion, his craft was that of a master baker and master pizziola. Today, the tradition and art for of making authentic Napoletana pizza is held sacred in and around the Campania region of Italy and throughout Naples. Felice and Louisa then created nine beautiful people who in turn created many, many beautiful people. As our Italian American families grew, we continued the traditions and wishes of our grandparents and were united as family. We cooked and ate meals together several times a week. We all lived in close proximity of each other.

Read some wonderful reviews last week and visited Forno Napoli on a Friday night at 6:30 with my 2 sons. The place was packed with a nice festive crowd probable due to the major snowstorm, frigid temperatures and strong winds we were still experiencing from the day before. We were warmly greeted by the young girl at the register who was taking customer orders. Menus were provided as one walks in. I walked around the room to get a feel for the atmosphere and look at the various Italian dishes that were being served. One of the owners approached me to ask if this was our first visit and talk about the menu items available. My son was still at the front looking over the menu and another owner approached him to answer any questions as well. I believe this is a family operation with ties to a specific region in Italy. The menu has lots of wonderful pizza varieties all using an original wood fired oven from Italy. Other items on the menu include pasta entrees with a variety of original sauces, chicken and paninis. They also offer wines by the bottle and glass and beers. We ordered a pizza and a dinner entree of spaghetti and large meatball and a salad that was enough for each of the three of us and still some for taking home. The food was very good with the "meatball" being the favorite. Menu prices were somewhat high however eating out prices have risen substantially in the last two years. The casual atmosphere was very inviting with some long tables for large groups. Our one concern was there were no coat racks anywhere in the restaurant probable because there was no room for coat racks. Had to place our coats on a child seat that we moved next to us. Would want to go back next time at a quieter time when less hectic. We experienced wonderful customer service from everyone working there. Italians are passionate about their food and it was obvious.

On our trip to the Buffalo area we stayed in a wonderful hotel nearby this restaurant and thank heavens the front desk person who checked us in strongly recommended we eat at Forno Napoli. We are so happy we did and we actually ended up eating there multiple times during our week's stay! From the moment we walked in, the aroma just drew us in. This is a family-owned operation and the beautiful part is that we were treated like family as well by Felix, Rick & Evan! The pizza was just exceptional. Truly the best we have ever had - anywhere! We tried both the Margherita Pizza and the Diavola Pizza and we never could decide which was actually better, so every visit we ordered both! We didn't stop there! They have wonderful salads, also 'out of this world' and we ordered the Panzanella Salad which is unbelievably fresh and delicious. I don't know how we found room for it but we had been told at the hotel that the Cannoli was the best so we felt challenged to try it. It definitely is the best we have ever had. What a treat to have the owners come over and visit. Not in an intrusive way, but in a way that shows they really care that their guests/customers are having an enjoyable visit. There is also a lovely man whom we met who has a beautiful accent, a lovely name (Simone) who was also kind and generous with his time and knowledge when he saw my husband's interest in the process and ingredients - and so my husband could understand just how Forno Napoli could have such an exceptional pizza. We live in CA and won't have the opportunity as much as we would like to enjoy Forno Napoli and that makes us sad. You deserve to enjoy this experience and the exceptional food you will be served.

Had 2 meals here during a recent trip to Buffalo. Was extremely pleased with the food, ambiance and drinks. Pizzas are Neapolitan crust with high quality ingredients, fantastic sauce. Tried some of the chicken dishes which are wholesome and delicious.
Staff are very nice and the drinks are very fairly priced.
Also enjoyed the patio in the summer... owners are always present to chat and this really gives it a homey, family dining experience.

Since we saw a story on local news we decided to give it a shot. We got there well before the dinner rush. When we arrived there was an issue with the tickets not printing to the kitchen but our order was still taken by the ladies at the counter. After an hour we asked where are food was as a family who came in at least 30-45 minutes after us got theirs and the young lady said ours were coming out shortly. 15 minutes later 3 more families got their food and still none for us. So upon speaking to the owner/manager our pizzas were next to go in. The pizza turned the experience around for us, it was very good!! The owner/manager did apologize and made up for the inconvenience. I do believe there needs to be a process put in place in case the internet connection goes out again that hand written receipts/tickets are presented to the kitchen with the time of order so they can be placed in line and nobody has to wait that long again!

First time at this restaurant and it was absolutely outstanding…. Ordered the margherita w/sausage and artichokes along with the argume salad…both were excellent …. Definitely 5 stars! As someone who travels the country and hunts down Neapolitan pizza places (VPN and alike) , Forno Napoli is right up with the best I’ve had … finished off the meal with the napoleon gelato , which was delicious…. Would highly recommend if you like this style of pizza or want to try it for first time… Also, the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, especially the owner

We showed up for dinner at 8:30pm, 30 minutes after they officially closed. They insisted that we still order and that it would be no problem. They brought us a salad while we waited for our to go order. The salad was awesome as was both the pasta dishes we ordered. What a great family owned restaurant! We will definitely be back!

I've heard of this place from people who have eaten there and staying at the nearby hotel. I was bummed to find out that they were closed on Mondays, but extremely pleased that I had the chance to get some food form them tonight. Great food, great people, glad to help out local businesses in this time.

We had the best food, and Felix, the owner greeted us so warmly! We had 10 family members from Las Vegas and Phoenix meeting for a Bill’s game. Grandparents to teens. Wish we had such delicious Italian food where we live! We will always come here for the best pizza (Napoli) and pasta (OMG the meatballs, the sauce, the fresh ricotta!) in the US! Thanks so much Felix!!😘

The pizzas are awesome! Not sure if it was a usual weeknight pattern, but there was only one person at the registers taking in the orders, but it was a 30 min wait, with only two people ahead of us. Good place for a casual dinner out. The resataurant closes at 8 pm on weekdays, so something to keep in mind.

My husband and I are regular pizza eaters. We have been to many places in Amherst, Tonawanda, Williamsville, West Seneca and Hamburg. We wanted to try a different pizza place. The employees were friendly. The owner welcomed us. The place is clean. We were served authentic tasty Italian pizza.

There are not enough good words for this place! LOVED the atmosphere; the pizza was amazing. It was busy and full of energy and fun and wonderful food. I'd go here again in a heartbeat. Salads looked amazing (but why would I order salad at a pizza place?!!) Friendly and helpful staff.

I love this restaurant - one of my favorite places in Buffalo! It’s great for takeout, but the pizza is incredibly delicious in house. The owner and staff are super friendly. We’ll be back!

My wife and I came in for dinner on an early Saturday evening. I tend to be skeptical of "fast casual" pizza places, some of which are a bit too assembly-line-like for me, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. We shared a Margherita pizza, which is my default "benchmark" pie, especially on a first visit. The crust was evenly, moderately charred from the wood-fired oven (I checked, they really do use wood), and was crisp but pliable. The toppings were well balanced, with a hint of sharpness from the mozzarella, flavorful tomatoes and fresh basil. I was also happy with our house salad, which was quite tasty and perfect for sharing.
Service was friendly and efficient. I liked the self-serve dispensers of lemon water and cucumber water, and the self-serve to-go boxes, which made things easy. It was indeed fast and casual, but more importantly the food was very good, and I'm glad we stopped.

Quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had and being from the Buffalo area that says a lot! The pizza was exceptional, salad and pasta were made with quality ingredients and the taste was delicious but the best part was speaking to the owners. They both were so personable and genuinely happy to have is there! I felt like we were welcomed into the family! We look forward to going back for years to come!
