How is Restaurant Chez Plume rated?

You can tell that the owners are committed to their business by the elegant south of France feel of the decor. Sophisticated but not extravagant and a nice place to be with white table cloths and intelligent lighting. The owner (I believe his name is...Terrence Bristol) takes pleasure in welcoming diners and discusses the menu which is a good idea as some Seychellois dishes are special like Job fish and bat paté. Really, I'm quite serious. The dishes come bang on time and table service is friendly and efficient. If you are staying in the Kempinski or the Four Seasons, this restaurant is not too distant and a welcome change from big hotel fare. Be aware that all restaurant costs in the Seychelles are eye wateringly expensive but this one is fairly reasonable in local terms. Very highly recommended.More

Nice restaurant, food okay, Improvements needed

During our Stay on Mahé we'd dinner in this restaurant. The restaurant looks nice and also the staff are friendly. But although I had made a reservation, we were given a table with used tablecloths. Sorry, this in Covid times! The food was okay, But...some food and dishes had run out. Especially the famous passion fruit soufflée was no longer available (we had the feeling that the kitchen staff didn't feel like making anything new anymore). So I've decided to take a Coconut cake with ice cream. The Cake was nothing special and the ice cream was melted. Sometimes just little things can be improved so that everyone would be fine. Anyway, there are better restaurants on Mahé.More

Great night out

Such a nice night out. The fish curry, meat lovers pizza and chocolate cake were all delicious and came to a good price too. The manager and staff were very friendly and attentive.More

This is a fantastic restaurant driving on grand anse Mahe west coast. A small cosy restaurant is suitable for couple and family lunch or dinner. You can enjoy a swimming pool view and garden view while having your meal. We ordered Creole grilled fish fillet...with rice and chicken. The restaurant serves French and creole cuisine. Also pizza’s. Suitable for vegetarians as well as Non-vegetarians. Seafood lovers will also enjoy the seafood dishes over here.More

Hearts on fish-hooks!

I love the sea food and the hearts on fish-hooks over the table for lunch seemed appropriate. Lovely atmosphere. Great food and good service. We were not disappointed!

Fishing for Love

Lovely restaurant in a great location. Very bright and crisply clean. Helpful friendly Staff. We can unannounced for Lunch and it was no problem. You won’t be dissapointed!

Very slow service

I went to this restaurant because it is close to my AirBNB and recommend by my host. When I entered they were 27 people at the restaurant. And one waitress who doubled as the receptionist to the guest house. It was no surprise that I...ordered my food only 25 minutes after I came and it arrived 30 minutes later. The grouper was ok the ginger sauce was very buttery and I needed a lot of imagination to taste the ginger. Maybe Sunday lunch is not a good time to visit.More

This restaurant is within 100 metres from Villa Bethlehem

The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The menus were varied and the quantities served were a little excessive so weight watchers beware!

Relaxing setting

Group of 3.. We all ate well apart from the pickles tasted funny (watery not salty.) calm relaxing setting next to pool... friendly staff.. The fruit bat was a fun starter to share... merlot from Chile just so so. Will return for sureMore

Seafood Celebration

We were on the lookout for some serious seafood. We food it in abundance at Chez Plume. It was a tricky drive over the mountain but well worth the effort. The Australian owner greeted us on arrival with a smile and good humour. Once seated...service was quick and attentive. Seafood platter to start. Everything you would want it to be. Fresh and very tasty. Our mains were Red Snapper in Saffron Sauce and grilled fish Creole. Both excellent. Service throughout was terrific and nice touch by the owner to come and speak to us direct at the end. All in all a very good night out.More

Not so confortable as it used to be...

We got an apertivo before dinner: they took us something different...The starting, raw fish, was not very good and the slipper lobsters were burnt! Finally we asked for the chocolade cake but it had no chocolade inside...not like before. But the prices increased so much!More
