Royal Cafe at Hazratganj is little bit different from the Gomti Nagar restaurant in design and decoration but you will get same menu over here. ambience is great and well clean. Staff is very friendly and always ready to serve you.
Sometime you have to wait for your space as it situated crowded place as Hazratganj is always crowded in evening. Order also takes some time, but waiting is good as the quality of the food its great hot and delicious as always. Tried Handi Paneer, Chilli Paneer (Gravy), Veg. Noodles and Handi Dum Biryani. They are simply awesome and delicious in taste the price is bit high but that dosen't mater when you get great rich taste and with decent quantity.
Outside they serve Aloo Tikki and Pani Batase which are mouth watering. Royal Cafe is simply good in taste and style.

Located in the heart of Hazratganj, its a really popular place. They have variety of chats and Ice creams n kulfis at a reasonable price. We loved all the fare we had - tikki, kanji bada, Dahi batashas and Pan kulfi. We did not have it but Lachha Tokris were selling very fast. It was nice n big and seemed to be a meal in itself. They even added a dollop of what they called hajmola by the side.

Royal Cafe Chaat was highly recommended on Lonely Planet and our friends in Lucknow. I ordered Special Basket chat but my wife proceeded to have her defining chat - Palak chat, mushroom tikka and fried momos. Only the fried momos were forgettable. The rest was high quality, well priced and Master Viru gave us great advice and consequently we did not overeat. The ambience on the street was also classic Lucknow, not inner city but enough hustle-bustle!! Will go back…

Had worst experience. Had specifically directed that the golgappas should not have any onion -garlic and I was assured that there would be no onion garlic but to my horror the golgappa filling was having onion pieces and when I confronted the manager about this, he simply shrugged and said that it can happen sometimes. Utter lack of responsibility and very poor service. Shame on these people.

We went for lunch. We had a paneer dish, a chicken dish and mutton galoti kebabs with paratha. Food is tasty but very creamy and heavy gravy. Large portions. We gave the "doggie bags" away afterwards. The veg and non veg gravy seemed similar. The menu had all items picture based which was good.

The much hyped basket chaat here is an explosion of food and flavours and textures on a plate. We r huge chaat lovers from Delhi and have been to some of the best places there but this basket chaat was a bit of a disappointment. U could just taste a lot of mish mash of items. Not one was really recognisable or really wow as hyped by reviews.
The yoghurt too was warm and not chilled and refreshing. The khatti chutney was sour but no spice levels in it. Overall a bit disappointing. Too much on a plate.

The very famous BASKET CHAAT gave me and my friend a bad stomach. Im glad it was the last day of my trip. The food was average. I asked for a non spicy pizza for my son, the pizza still had some chilli flakes and he couldn’t really eat it. I told them but they had nothing to offer, no apology, no replacement.
U can’t really sit and chill and enjoy ur meal because people come back to back and they’re eyeing ur table. The kulfi was great but the rest was really average.

Portions were huge and we struggled to finish. The breads were delicious and so were their kebabs. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. The basket chaat was a big hit too. Service takes about 15-20 minutes but it is worth the wait. Recommended.

This food joint in Hazratganj serves yummy and hygeinic chat.
The place is very neat and clean, the staff is very courteous and service is quick.
In winters it serves different type of Halwas and Makhan Malai which are must try dishes

One of the oldest popular restaurant, food of which we have cherished since childhood. The restaurant is outdated and old styled and do not expect much of service …. But the Food is amazing and that’s what attracts us every time we are in the city. Order anything Indian and you shall not regret.

I just Love the food, portion size was too good means 1 full Butter Chicken is good enough for 3 guests. I was thr with 3 of my friends we enjoyed a lot...

I have been to this place several times before and have always wanted to go again and again. The food is delicious, fresh and not very spicy. The service is quick and waiters are courteous.
They sell chaat just outside their shop and I wanted to eat it as it is my favorite, but was a little hesitant seeing all the dust from the road in front. But fortunately I ate and enjoyed and did not have any problem.
I will recommend this place to one and all visiting India.

In the evening we are walking around Hazarat Ganj. I saw Royal Cafe which I had read about it on the trip advisor to must try. We tried aaloo ticki chhat, it was mouth watery and delicious.

This place serves some of the best chats in Lucknow. The Tokri chat and palak patta chat are the must try, besides dahi bhalle and paw bhaji. The kulfi and faloodas are also very authentic.

We tried few dishes there. I would recommend Kulfi Falooda, it is one of the best you can find. If you wanna try something new there is Basket chaat which is combo of all chat items. You can give it a shot, it you like chaat.
