The location of the restaurant makes the experience. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the aesthetically beautiful Libreria Puro Verso on Sarandi street. I ordered the shrimp in garlic and olive oil. My vision of what the shrimp would look like did...More

Wishful thinking to take the building and the restaurant to my home town. Absolutely fantastic concept. And a tasty salad on top.

Stopped here for a browse in the bookstore, and upstairs is a small cafe. Excellent service and good coffee with a scone. Sat by the window as was quite and was able to look up the pedestrian street with the sun shining. Sometimes its good...More

Nice restaurant where you sit in the middle of a bookstore. The ciabatta with grilled vegetables was not that tasty so I would recommend to take a warm dish (e.g. pasta, risotto) or only come for a drink. The wine is good and the staff...More

The setting is lovely, in a historic bookstore on the Sarandi, the walkway that wends its way from the Plaza Independencia to the Mercado del Puerto. I enjoyed my lunch from the prix fixe menu; the main dish was a mahi-mahi-like fish on a bed...More

The restaurant is located in the second floor of an amazing library. The whole atmosphere is quite impressive. The food is different from what you traditionally find in Uruguay, the salads are big, the fish is always fresh. Finally the location is perfect to be...More

Look at the photos, a jewel in the center of the city. I took the menu (3 courses), a beer and a coffee for 550 pesos incl. tip (approx. $23). Good food, great service.
