We went to celebrate our anniversary at the Rishtedar de Vitacura and it was a spectacular experience. First the place is beautiful, the waiters are dressed in Indian clothes, you are greeted by a very friendly hostess who offers to put on a Bindi (a little jewel to put on the forehead, typical of Indian women), it is quite an experience. The waiters super friendly, followed dishes to combine, delicious food, no talking!! We had a spectacular time, it is a very different place than all the restaurants I have gone. Delicious and very original drinks.
I recommend 100% that you know him. I will definitely come back!!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried. I am an Indian and have eaten at innumerable Indian restaurants but Rishtedar in Santiago is definitely among the top ones. Food was cooked to perfection, spice aroma was just right, taste was silky smooth, and each item had unique taste and flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant.

1. Spectacular decor. Magic. It transports you.
2. Exquisite food. Congratulations. Very nice. Even for my kids on their first Indian food experience. They ate it all.
3. The presentation of the dishes too delicate. And the detail of washing your hands at the end of eating in a vessel was very unexpected.
4. The impeccable attention of your workers. Especially Daniela jauregui. He treated us like kings.
We'll repeat it.

My recent visit confirmed that this place is getting worse and worse. To begin with, the music was so loud and poorly equalized that it was unpleasant. I asked them to turn it down but as the person who attended said “they tried but they couldn't regulate the volume.” The woman who served us was unpleasant and you could see the effort she made to smile and seem friendly; He couldn't convince us. Finally, the kulfi dessert was of very poor quality and probably with excess cornstarch instead of milk and fruit.
All wrong. Going to a restaurant to enjoy yourself not only means eating well, but also that the atmosphere and service are combined appropriately.

The food here was so delicious that I went the next night. This was a huge mistake. One of the dishes I ordered was wrong and I ordered the dish that I asked for. I even said I would pay for the wrong one. It was $4 not a big deal and I didn’t want to get the waitress in trouble The other dishes I ordered were delicious. I waited and waited for the correct order to come out but it never did. The waitress told the table next to me that she gave them my dish by mistake in Spanish but I was able to figure it out. I said it’s delicious right and they agreed and we all laughed. I figured ok they probably won’t charge me for the wrong one. All 5 of the staff watched while i paid the bill. I was surprised that they charged me for the naan I didn’t eat and most people would have made a fuss. I didn’t and paid the bill. As I was walking out I heard someone say behind me in Spanish muy gordo which is true I am very fat and someone laughed but I didn’t turn around to see who said it. You have to be unintelligent and mean to say something like that after how I was already treated. It’s ok I can lose weight but they are who they are. They should all be ashamed of themselves and learn how to treat customers better. There are no words about how badly I was treated but it’s ok even though the food is great no one deserves to be treated the way I was. Enjoy that $4 dollars

It is a good Indian food joint, although its direct competitor surpasses in taste and quality. Here, flavors sometimes mix excessively, losing identity. However, it remains a remarkable option for its more accessible prices.

Great service, friendly staff, although English is limited, they mostly speak Spanish or Hindi. Large choice of veg and non veg, the taste is adjusted to local Chilean customer basis. Some dishes in the seafood section are not original. Still, good taste, seems clean and safe. Fancy decoration and women are welcomed with a bindhi on their forehead.

Rather than spend our last night in Santiago in an airport hotel, we took a taxi downtown. We went for a drink at Ugo Hotel (see separate review) where we had enjoyed a great stay recently.
We then decided to go to nearby Rishtedar. Having spotted it before it looked like a popular place. We had also had great feedback from fellow travellers.
It was well worth the visit.
Although we hadn’t made a reservation we were offered a table inside our out. We choose outside as it was a beautiful evening and we wanted to enjoy the evening before a long flight the next day. Still pretty hot so the fan / cooling mist wafting from it was an added advantage.
Our waiter was wearing a great jacket. He took our order within a few minutes. As our Spanish is virtually none existent one of his colleagues came to check the order was correct …. it was.
Our drinks arrived shortly afterwards and our food followed.
It seemed strange eating Indian food after all the steak, Argentinian and Chilean food of the past weeks. We enjoyed it very much. As with just about every meal we’d had on our visit to Patagonia there was plenty of it! The main course was really enough but we still shared a desert.
Whilst eating dinner a couple of musicians set up across the road and treated us to a little jazz.
The restaurant is well located, in a nice area just a short distance from Sky Costanera, the tallest building in Latin America.
The staff were all very helpful.
We enjoyed Rishtedar and took a cab back to our airport hotel.

We live in Santiago but are from Vancouver, Canada. We have eating a lot of authentic indian food in our lives. One of the biggest challenges we have living in Santiago is that the food is very bland. Even when you think you're ordering/eating "ethnic" food, it somehow has a "Chilean" spin. We had heard good things about Rishtedar, but alas, it was the same issue. Absolutely the worst Indian food I've ever had (except the Naan was ok). Even managed to ruin Butter Chicken! Maybe you'd like it if you've never had Indian food before and like bland food, but this tastes nothing like the real thing. So disappointing. Luckily we know a few Indian families living here, so we'll continue to order from them directly.

I went in office lunch with a client. I ordered chola bhature but was very bad in taste and I did not ate it. Samosas was too bad too. My client also told me Cordero was not so good. Ice cream was good.
Overall bad experience

We've been going to this place off and on for a few years while we were living in Providencia. After being out of the country for almost 2 years, this was one of the first of our old haunts that we wanted to revisit. It was not a disappointment. Good, efficient service, good food (mild for my wife, nicely picante for me), good and easy to get to location. Not fancy, but comfortable enough.

Very tasteful food, great environment, beautiful space, the waiters are very nice and helpful.
The waiter recommended a chicken dish - the only one with a English name - mildly hot, creamy, full of spices… delicious!
And to finish they bring this gorgeous golden jar with infused water to wash your hands!
Highly recommended!!!

Quality of food was actually good but the service or lack of from Cristobal was appalling. Which sadly takes away from the overall experience.
