Had lovely coffee in the bar today. Trendy bar with nice atmosphere. Went to the loo and after washing my hands lost my diamond ring down the basin! The hot air dryer blew it into the basin and it got stuck! Victor and a lovely...lady cleaner worked hard to retrieve it for me! No fuss, no complaints just sheer kindness from the staff. Muchas gracias. Victoria StocksMore

Matiz Restaurant and Tapas Bar Puerto Princesa La-ud (formerly Matiz) is a great place but they violate No Shortchanging Act of 2016 and the CR stinks 657999608 We stayed at the hotel near La-ud (formerly Matiz) and we were glad we checked it out. POSITIVE:...1. Beautiful and classy interior. I personally like the hanging tables and the lights. 2. Cozy ambiance. The soft music is relaxing. 3. Friendly staff who are not only knowledgeable with the menu but are also helpful in giving tips for tourists like us. They told us where to visit and what activities to try in Palawan. 4. The food was delightful! Tastes good, nice presentation, cooked right, appropriate service size. 5. The price is reasonable for the food (#4). 6. The restaurant itself is clean and you can tell the napkins are freshly washed. I could have easily given them a 5-star rating. But here's why it's only 4. NEGATIVE: 1. The comfort room of the restaurant is the same CR in the Hue Hotel lobby. I can't bring myself to go inside. In both occasions we were there, the washroom stinks! You can smell it from the door. It's terrible that they only sprayed strong perfume to try to mask the smell but it still overpowers it. 2. It may be just a few cents but I am all for following the laws and republic acts of the Philippines. :) They don't give the exact change. They gave us 4 cents short and they didn't even tell us. We now have 1 cent coins because of REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10909 No Shortchanging Act of 2016.More

Have tried here once and we didn't like it. The ambience of the place is good. Quite relaxing and pleasant. However, It took them one long hour just to serve our three orders. Paella, Salmon, and Spaghetti. The spag is really good. The salmon is...just okay. But the paella was very very salty for our taste. Lemon juice doesn't taste like lemon. Over-all, not impressed for a restaurant this class and expensive but with slow service and not very delicious foods.More

Trying new things in the city and I got this place, the place is really promising, it got a good ambiance, an industrialized ambiance. Their food is indeed pricey but getting a wonderful food and a good service from their food then the price I...paid was well compensated. Good job everyone, till next time.More
