If you come to Hong Kong, you must go to Man Wah. There is no reason not to go to Man Wah where you can eat crazy delicious food with a great view. I ate a variety of dim sum, seasonal seafood dishes, and traditional...Hong Kong food for lunch. The quality of the ingredients was very nice, and the taste was the best I had in Hong Kong. I want to eat again.. Also, Man Wah has a great view as it is located on the upper floors of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. You can have a special experience of eating amazing food while looking at the beautiful Hongkong scenery. The best thing about Man Wah was the good service. They always filled cups with hot tea and made the meal comfortable and enjoyable. My staff Andrew, Marco and German were very friendly and accommodating to my requests. It made me want to visit again :) 홍콩 가면 꼭 가세요.. 진짜 미쳤어요 처음 먹어보는 맛인데 맛있어요. 뷰도 미챴어요. 점심으로 딤섬먹으러 가기 딱입니다.More

We would like to have dim sum on New Year's Day. We tried to book Man Wah. We called the restaurant at about 7:30 pm, but nobody answered. Then we reached the hotel's main line and asked them to transfer our call. We stayed for...7 mins, and still nobody answered. We had to leave the number and wait for them to call back. They called back in 20 minutes, and we booked a table at 11 am-1 pm. We arrived at the hotel today and finally understood why there was no reception to answer the call, as she also worked as a server in the restaurant. You can see this from the picture we took when we left at about 12:10 pm. As a Michelin-starred restaurant, the dim sum was so disappointing. 1. Albalone and chicken tart - the pastry was too thick, and the sauce was too strong 2. Wagyu beef puff, black pepper sauce - more curry flavour rather than black pepper flavour 3. Har gau - ok 4. Siu mai - no meat taste at all; the taste of the salted fish was too strong 5. Bamboo pith and vegetable dumpling - there was no taste at all 6. Shanghainese soup dumpling - the pastry was too thick, and the meat had no taste 7. Crab meat dumpling with morel mushroom - no crab taste, and felt like eating a starch ball 8. Preserved vegetable and black garlic vegetarian dumpling - strange taste for a vegetable dumpling 9. Steamed rice rill, crispy, black truffle, shrimp - no truffle The service of the staff was satisfactory, but I felt more like a robot service. I strongly recommend you not go to Man Wah for dim sum. You will be disappointed.More

We went for Dim Sum earlier. Menu was limited (however we were already aware of the menu before and we were ok with that). Presentation of the food was good - but taste wise, for the price, there are a lot better options that you...can get elsewhere in Hong Kong, for less. Of course part of what you’re paying for is the ambience and service. Service if I were to be honest - felt very cold. It was as though they wanted us to finish our food and get rid of us asap. The server didn’t even bother to ask us if we finished our plates. Just pointed at the plates without saying anything , and waited for us to acknowledged. Certainly not what is expected of a restaurant in MO (even worse if this still has a star?)More

Man Wah sets the standards of quality and consistency of Cantonese cuisines and we had some of the best culinary experiences that we still remember. The first impression when entering into this restaurant with its neo-Chinese chic and a royal blue theme, reminiscences a sense...of charm, character, and elegance. This is different to the monotonous open modern design in many of the other fine dining places. The food was absolutely on point delicious, and the wait staff were professionally trained to give the appropriate advices. The BBQ Pork with its tender meat, balanced sweetness and fat content, was so well made that it’s perfection, while the soya sauce chicken was similarly impressive with its balanced taste profile and layers of flavour. The special baked crab dish was another highlight with carb meat succulently juicy baked with layers of ingredients on its shells was another highlight. The wine list is thoughtfully crafted and has a comprehensive list from both the New and Old Worlds. This is one place that we left with a lasting impression of fine dining experience.More
