From a distance it looked great, but after a few minutes on the inside I was less comfortable. The hygiene is not on expected level and menus is in desperate and sticky state and needs replacement. Coffee was great. Maybe this core value proposition.
I have been there many times and they have the best breads and cakes. One day I went there for salad Parmentier take away, I saw the hell. The worst food poisoning ever. I couldn’t go to my office on the following day. It must...have been sitting on the shelf for a few days. Later I heard others experienced it, too.More

Éric Kayser is an excellent bakery where you can also get a coffee and a full lunch. I had a tuna bagel last time I went and my girlfriend a "poulet Yassa". My bagel was good but difficult to digest. Her chicken not only looked...good but tasted good as well and didn't give her a hard time to digest. With that, we took a cappuccino. It was a bit pricey but excellent. The restaurant is ideal for a quiet lunch with one or several friends, or by yourself. The waitresses are kind.More
Do you want to know what is the best bakery and pastry shop in Kinshasa? The answer is simple: Éric Kayser. As far as I know, there are three branches: one in the Avenue de l'Équateur, another one in the Avenue de l'Ouganda (in the...KinPlaza) and the last one at the airport. The bread is really awesome. It can only be compared to Paul's, but Paul doesn't have a bakery in this part of the world. The pastries are breathtaking. A chocolate cake from Kayser for a birthday is a must. About the restaurant, I can't talk too much because I have been only once. All the pastries remain breathtaking, the sandwiches are good. They also serve Italian food. When I went, I had "pasta arrabbiata" and a soup. I ordered a soup in bread (their speciality), but they didn't have it anymore. I could have minded it since I really enjoy that kind of soup, but I didn't because the waiter in charge of my table apologized in a very professional way. That kind of things does happen. I should have come earlier! So to sum up, Kayser is really THE bakery in Kinshasa, if you like bread and pastries, you won't be disappointed. Go for breakfast or at lunchtime if you eat on site, but don't go late afternoon, they might not have anything left for you! Another good thing about this bakery is that they give their leftovers and unsold breads to an orphanage.More
We were taken to this place after a couple of days of pricey and less than impressive food in Kinshasa. Very good quality and well priced food. We tried the other two in the city during our time there and definitely the one in Kin...Plaza is the difference. Worth a visit for the best sandwiches, desserts or other treats in town.More
