Excellent authentic Bolivian food

Excellent food- the best we’ve had in Bolivia. The service was great, as the waiter explained the tasting menus and recommended drinks. The Lama fritters were fantastic, and corn tamales amuse-bouche were really exceptional.

Bolivian food. Excellent quality & fair price

We took the 3 courses menu which is served with several snacks at the beginning. Fancy plates without being too show off. + the crew is really nice, from the chef to the waiter :) Also, there’s a nice local club in front of the restaurant. We highly recommend.

Excellent food and service

The entire ambiance is incredible from the mural painted on the facade to the intricately decorated interior by signature Bolivian artists. The chef Miguel and the entire staff are very friendly and dedicated to making your personal experience excellent. The signature fusion of food and local spirits offers a wonderful gastronomic experience I will definitely not forget. I loved the llama with jamaica flower sauce.

Nice Presentation and Interesting Vibe

We went for lunch about a month ago. The waitress seemed very confused and unprofessional, but it seems like there was more going on that day at the restaurant. The food was pretty good, although nearly every dish was based around huakataya. So I think it was lacking a bit of balance because that flavour was quite overwhelming (it was even in the ice cream). I would probably give them another shot and go again, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and rating them a 4/5 for this time.

Beautiful servings and great food for a very good price

Great food and beautiful servings! Such high quality to a really fair price. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting La Paz. We had the big tastning menu with 5 dishes for 120 bob, but we got way more than we ordered and everything was very detailed and cared for. Go try it for yourself :)

Feels like a 3 star Michelin experience!

What an incredible experience! We chose two 5 course menus with wine pairings and we were literally blown away! What creativity and what flavours!!! The chef Miguel has worked with some of the top chefs in the world and explained each dish creation, giving such a personal touch to the whole experience. The venue was also incredible: gorgeous paintings and beautiful photos everywhere. It felt like dining in a local art gallery. Marcelo, who co-owns the place with Miguel, walked us through the art pieces from different local artists and some of his photographs. Both Miguel and Marcelo were incredibly kind and, after dinner, they spent a lot of time talking with us about their vision of the restaurant and much more. We are very thankful! Do not leave La Paz without visiting Mi Chola. It will be one of the best memory of your trip!

Such a happy surprise!

We actually stumbled in by accident, but they were still able to seat us immediately. The food is amazing! Such a delicious new surprise with every course and you can tell they really put thought into creating these dishes - both the flavour and presentation. The wine was good too! The restaurant itself has a lovely low-key artsy vibe with great art hanging on the walls. And even better - a 4 course tasting menu (which comes with additional amuses bouches) is only 100 bob each. Service was perfect and they even translated the details of the dishes to English for us. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, if you’re a foodie and you’re in La Paz, look no further!

Looking for a dining experience of Bolivian fusion cuisine? Look for no further! This was recommended by our guide in La Paz, and with many other spots closed on Mondays, we were excited to find this one was open. Exceptional service (Chef Miguel), one on one attention and commitment to enjoying his take on Bolivian culinary fusion. Menu can change daily depending on availability of local foods, two fixed menus to choose from, with starters, entrées and dessert, all of which will satisfy and exceed your expectations. Surrounded by walls of art from local artists (all of which is for sale), you instantly know you are in for a rare treat. Make this a good to destination for your dining in La Paz!

Excellent taster menu and excellent value for money

My wife saw the reviews and booked us in for the next day. We opted for the taster menu at 100 bb which was four courses and three snacks. A great taster menu and excellent service. The person who served us was apologetic that his English wasn’t perfect, it was certainly better than our broken Spanish! The food was stunning and locally sourced. I would strongly recommend visiting for the food. The artwork wasn’t bad either!

Hidden Gem- a Bolivian tasting menu at an affordable price

This is a hidden gem offering a tasting menu of local Bolivian food at a very reasonable cost. The owner was helpful in explaining all of the dishes and the food itself was incredible. Would recommend to anyone visiting La Paz.

Bolivian Cuisine thats a modern spin, tremendous!

I have seldom encountered a restaurant in Bolivia (though I have been living here for more than 20 years) that is so dedicated to innovation, culinary storytelling and dedication to preserving Bolivian tastes. The chef/owner is an impressive young man, who has one-handedly managed to selected the art and music, ambiance and daily 4 or 5 course meals. It is a feat, which I unfortunately wont last forever. Enjoy those who can.

Incredible flavors and unique fusion. Great value, various course gourmet food.

Delicious gourmet food. Various small dishes served, all very creatively planned and executed. Very high level uniquely presented food and quite inexpensive for the 7-8 course experience. Also, my wife is celiac and they were very professional and had no problem serving all dishes Gluten Free. Loved it!

AMAZING Foodie experience! And value!

AMAZING! A foodie must. I was shocked at how inexpensive the food was because the presentation of the multi course meal was exquisite and everything was delicious. My only complaint is they don’t sell coca-cola. Add that to the mine and this place is perfection

Best dining experience in Bolivia

We made the reservation and went there with no expectations. The neighborhood is nice but the entrance is simple, with a graffiti paint at the facade. Inside there are just a few tables and the service is done by a waiter and the chef himself. We chose the four course menu. The first course was actually divided in three, with different and creative plates, the food was delicious. We ordered a local wine, which was surprisingly elegant and matched well with the food. At that point we relaxed and enjoyed the following courses. Dessert was very nice and we ended up talking extensively with the chef Miguel Angel Fernandez about his experiences in Spain and Peru, quite impressive. It was our last night in Bolivia and this dinner was the highlight of our stay in La Paz. Strongly recommend it.

Great fine dining experience.

We enjoy good food and have eaten at many places in lots of countries and can truly not recommend this place enough. Food was not only delicious but also so creative in its presentation. You are given the option of a 4 or 5 course meal. Always presented to the highest standard. The quality of the food surpasses the presentation. The staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome and clearly took pride in the food and sevice they provide. Cant recommend strongly enough.
