We had lunch here today. The paper menus were greasy and filthy (the hostess said that they are short of these papers since they print them out once in a shift only!!). One napkin only at the table, which we used to stable the rocking...table. We ordered papaya salad to share, Japanese meatballs and Vietnamese curry with tofu. Bad food. Boring, zero inspiration. Really bad. We even suspected that the crispy onion on top of the meatballs” side dish of mashed potatoes was industrial, yet the waitress denied it. It’s a pity, used to be a comforting neighborhood bistro, then came Roshfeled, and now Grinberg San. We shall certainly never set foot there again.More

We went to Grinberg for a corned beef sandwich. But they no longer server the large corned beef sandwich for two. We ordered one sandwich and one burger. A starter is included in the business lunch but the soup now contains MSG so that wasn't...an option. (Chef restaurants don't use soup powder.) Instead I asked for the pate. I guess I wasn't listening when the server said it was salmon pate. He put a glob of mayonnaise with a few pink fish eggs poking out of it on the table. Just looking at it make me feel ill...I asked him to please take it back and he brought me a green salad instead. The corned beef sandwich and cole slaw arrived after a wait of 25 minutes. The bottom piece of bread was so soggy it fell to pieces as I picked up the sandwich. I decided to eat it with a fork and knife because the server had disappeared. The cole slaw was not cold and since it was 90% mayo with a minimal amount of grated carrots and cabbage, I left it on the plate. Being frustrated at not even being able to order drinks, we got up and went to the hostess to ask for our bill. The server finally brought it to us and asked if we'd like some chocolate mousse (part of the business lunch). We asked for a cup of tea instead (as they used to offer instead of the mousse). Absolutely not, it's not included. We won't be back.More

Shocking. The food was not the food that we ordered. When it arrived after 45 minutes it was wrong, the replacement was tasteless. The only good thing was the wine which was made outside the restaurant. The worse thing was when we were chased by...the someone asking if the service was not to our liking? Because they were not willing to accept that we didn’t leave them a tip. If I would have done there alone, I would pay for the wine and that’s it. Don’t botherMore

I used to be a regular at this restaurant in the Azurei Chen neighbourhood in TA’s northern reaches. Having heard of the new menu and new chef, we hastened to visit again after a short break. What a disappointment. It was difficult to choose at...all from the new menu, on which the old favourites have not been replaced with any appetising new ideas. The food was indifferent, the service only so-so. I’ll give this one amiss for maybe a year while they (hopefully) get their act back together.More

Grinberg used to be a relatively casual neighborhood bistrot which we used to go to (and order from) quite frequently. Recently they hired celebrity chef - Roschfeld - in an attempt, I suppose, to move the place more upscale. The change was reflected immediately in...higher overall prices, and some (totally unnecessary) changes to the menu. What turned us off, however, was witnessing how rudely the esteemed chef was treating a family (grandmother, father, granddaughter) seating at a table next to us. Apparently, they weren't satisfied with what they ordered. But instead of the waiter apologizing and removing the dishes, the chef himself stormed out of the kitchen, muttering something about "these Israelis", grabbed their dishes and disappeared. They were stunned, and so were we. Though this chef may have a reputation for being "volatile", I see no reason to volunteer being on the receiving end of this attitude. Simply not worth it, and we're not coming back. We may, however, still order, occasionally.More

We had visited the restaurant quite a lot in the past, and were not really happy the last two times. But we heard that there was a chef change, so we returned again. And what a difference it was. The food became somewhat more expensive...but much better, and we were very happy.More

A very pleasant family dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was packed yet the service was excellent, very attentive and kind. The food was exquisite for adults as well as kids. Loved the sea food and fish dishes. Will definitely return!

We have been frequenting this restaurant for quite a while because of its convenient location. Since our last visit the menu changed. It has less choices and it became more expensive. As for taste, average. We reserved a table weeks in advance to a certain...time. They had it wrongly listed. Even though we had textual evidence, half an hour earlier than the texted time to leave, they simply threw us out in a rude and at the same time aggressively polite way as they had probably overbooked. The food and the staff lack the finesse of a fine restaurant. There are so many other places ...More

This place used to be amazing, and a couple of months age the chefs changed and the quality of the restaurant changed the same way, and not in a good way. The appetizers are nice but the main courses are standard minus, and not worth...the high prices. I ate the French-burger and it wasn’t some thing special, a regular burger served on chopped (and uncooked) potatoes with a nice red wine sauce. In the desserts the apple crumble and the Irish croissant bread pudding was good, but the biscuit cake was bad, it had an strong taste of instant pudding powder.More

This place used to be good - good food, not cheap but worthwhile. I was back there last month and was very disappointed - most importantly, the food was mediocre at best! The menu had changed, the dishes we had loved there are mostly gone....We were told a new chef had joined them, an Israeli celebrity chef very well known here. We ordered different dishes and were extremely disappointed with the food. NOT COMING BACK (after having been there quite often over the past few years).More
