After several hours walking in the Old City, we stopped by for some lunch. It was a cold and rainy day. We were welcomed by the staff who explained the menu to us. It was our first day in Jerusalem. The selection of hummus, falafel,...meat and salad was tasty and we finished that off with some Arabic coffee.More

It’s not hard to see why this restaurant boasts the best hummus and falafel in Jerusalem. Unpretentious and simple, order only the house special and enjoy.

Out of 3 families with children, 9 people got severe food poisoning after eating hummus in this place! Six days after and we are all still sick! Highly recommend to stay away!!!

Please, do not eat here. What a tourist sham. The prices was quite high compared to everything else we have experienced in Jerusalem and the food, location and service did not match. The meal was served in a plastic tray (my brother said it reminded...him of his time in the military cafeteria) and the fries and bread were cold. God knows how long they have been laying on the kitchen counter. The falafel tasted like a oily refrigerator. Probably heated up from the freezer. Very difficult to even get the bill because of the staff was amusing himself on the phone. Our neighbor got overcharged, so be sure to check the receipt. Overall we came for the great TripAdvisor review, and came back empty handed. The food was not enjoyable but eatable, thereby the two stars. To our despair we went pass several smaller restaurants in the alley which seemed much nicer. Would recommend trying something outside of the Main Street.More

When we walk in, I asked if they accepted credit card. The answer was yes. They did not give us a menu and verbally told us what they served. No menu and no idea what they charge. Mind you, you are inside the old city,...so things are usually reasonable. When I asked for the bill, the manager did not provide me with a physical bill. The waiter told him what we consumed in Arabic ( we could not understand) and he did the math on top of his head. What they charged us, was twice as much as any other place we’ve eaten. So I handle my credit card to the manager and he says: for credit card, we add a 17% I said: we were told you accepted credit card in this place and no one told us you would add a 17% . His response: well, any other business here, adds that you may not notice. At this point I was furious. The food wasn’t even that great and ripping us off like that, was just wrong! By the way, no one adds 17% on a credit there. Just a bunch of non-sense. No shame on taking advantage of turista. Do not eat anywhere if they don’t have a menu with pricing specially this place!More

A very nice mediterenien restaurant in the “station”. The food was fresh and the service was very nice. The shwarma was not good as the different salads.

We went to this restaurant based on recommendation from the hotel concierge and the lonely planet guidebook as it is claimed to be the best falafel and hummus place in town. We felt it lived up to its reputation. Portions are generously sized, extremely tasty...and very good value for money. If you find yourself in the old town I’d highly recommend it.More

We had a respite in the tour of the Old City and we decided to have a light lunch at Abu Shukri, the place is clean, the service is quick, the portions are very nice and plentiful and prices are very good. I had a...falafel and it was excellent, my colleagues had hummus and other things and they were delighted. Try it.More

This place was reccomended to us by the staff at the hotel we were staying (King David). A small place with great fresh food. Loved the staff, very friendly and helpful. I wish there was a place like near where I live.

Six of us immediately seated for lunch on a Sunday afternoon in the heart of the Muslim quarter in Jerusalem. The hummus was packed with flavor, and went well with the chicken, veggies, and bread. Expectations were exceeded! You won’t be disappointed.

Cozy, mix of traditional and modern designs, friendly staff and amazing food. What's not to love! I am a Palestinian, so it's safe to say I am essentially a hummus and falafel expert. Hands down, this was the best hummus and falafel I have ever...had. You have to try it if you were looking for a place to eat in Jerusalem.More
