We had the opportunity to be the guests of a very fine restaurant. The owner, Katy, was very friendly and empathetic. The location was in excellent condition, as was the food served. I can recommend the herring and the seabream, my wife feasted on a...filet mignon. We enjoyed a semi-dry rosé wine from Israel, served adequately cold. When you are looking for a cozy and intimate place to dine on a high level, come here. Reservation is a must.More

The food is amazing. Katy is the sweetest woman I have ever met. If in doubt, eat here. I promise it will be a wonderful experience.

This marvelous restaurant is an awe-inspiring testament to the power of great food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. It's centrally located near the Old City and several other activities, and is a great place to celebrate any occasion. It's decorated with old photographs detailing Israeli...history, and the warm lighting adds a romantic vibe. The staff were super welcoming and professional, checking in on us regularly without being overbearing. The food itself is sublime! The warm brioche was freshly baked and tasty, making us even more hungry. We all shared the tomato and mozzarella salad, the eggplant/aubergine with basil and goat cheese, artichokes, duck with blackcurrant sauce, and the rainbow trout with chives, and everything was so heavenly that the food disappeared very quickly. Katy's is a well-established restaurant in Jerusalem, having been here for almost fifty years, and its glowing reputation is well-deserved.More

The restaurant is located in the alleys of Jerusalem city center and is reminiscent of the atmosphere in Paris or Rome. The food was excellent! For starters, the goat cheese eggplant and homemade pate were superb. The duck with orange sauce is a French classic...very well executed. Above all, crepe suzette for dessert was perfect finish for the meal. Katy, the owner was welcoming and gave us a one-of-a-kind service. She was kind, .warm, generous and took care all our needs. We will definitely come back againMore

My wife and I had an extraordinary experience in this Jerusalem restaurant. The French food was very authentic and the atmosphere in the restaurant included a very eclectic set of photos marking the history of Israel and of the restaurant. The food was to die...for! The meal started off with a very warm, frehly prepared brioche. I thought the Filet Mignon was among the best I ever had. My wife loved the rich chocalate desert with orange flavoring. Most special about the restaurant was the amazing appeal of the owner, Katy, who at 77 years of age, still nurtures the love that she put into starting the restaurant 50 years earlier. I really enjoyed hearing her story about how this little girl learned how to manage a French bakery from her grandfather and eventually expanded that enterprise. Katy has a very romantic, pleasantly seductive French touch that makes her guests feel exceptionally welcome. It is really a unique experience not to be missed. I'd even say that you should be sure that Katy is there when you set your reservation.More

I made a reservation at Katy’s one month before our visit to Jerusalem based on multiple reviews. We were not disappointed. A short walk from the Jaffa Gate, we were welcomed into this small bit of France by Katy herself. Before ordering, a large brioche...was brought to our table. We started with two appetizers. The mushroom crepe was outstanding. The artichoke heart stuffed with veal was so different and tasty. Both were cooked to perfection. I can’t comment on various entrees as all four ordered the duck. The thinly sliced breast was superb and the accompanying potato, carrot and zucchini added wonderful color to the plate. The apple strudel and crème brûlée provided the finish to a wonderful meal, among the best we’ve ever had. Katy’s is not kosher. But if you are looking for a wonderful meal, don’t miss this gem.More

What a pleasant dining experience to have in Jerusalem. Old fashioned European charm. Starting with a well prepared Martini, next stuffed mushroom caps and then perfectly done rare lamb chops. Throughout dinner, charming Katy spoke with us, regaled us with her stories and just added...to our dining experience.More

Katy's is a timeless restaurant, that serves GOOD & well done food from scratch. Classic European for food lovers, rather than Instagram photo takers who eat mostly with their eyes. Rare chef who actually knows his way around ingredients and present them gracefully and tastefully...on your plate. We had tasted the Pate, meat stuffed artichokes, stuffed cheese & tometo aubergine, veal schnitzel in lemon sauce and not forgetting the staple brioche bread with antipasti. ALL was delicious!!! Bravo to the Chef! Wishing more restaurants would've cooked the same level. Thank you.More

Very good food. I had a stuffed artichoke with veal. Wine is good and by the glass. Their ice cream which I would call spumoni is the best I have had on this trip. The service was good. The location is very good. Quiet and...not hectic.More
