The restaurant is located in the alleys of Jerusalem city center and is reminiscent of the atmosphere in Paris or Rome. The food was excellent! My wife and I had an extraordinary experience in this Jerusalem restaurant. The French food was very authentic and the atmosphere in the restaurant included a very eclectic set of photos marking the history of Israel and of the restaurant. The food was to die...for! The meal started off with a very warm, frehly prepared brioche. I thought the Filet Mignon was among the best I ever had. My wife loved the rich chocalate desert with orange flavoring. Most special about the restaurant was the amazing appeal of the owner, Katy, who at 77 years of age, still nurtures the love that she put into starting the restaurant 50 years earlier. I really enjoyed hearing her story about how this little girl learned how to manage a French bakery from her grandfather and eventually expanded that enterprise. Katy has a very romantic, pleasantly seductive French touch that makes her guests feel exceptionally welcome. It is really a unique experience not to be missed. I made a reservation at Katy’s one month before our visit to Jerusalem based on multiple reviews. We were not disappointed. A short walk from the Jaffa Gate, we were welcomed into this small bit of France by Katy herself. Before ordering, a large brioche...was brought to our table. We started with two appetizers. The mushroom crepe was outstanding. The artichoke heart stuffed with veal was so different and tasty. Both were cooked to perfection. I can’t comment on various entrees as all four ordered the duck. The thinly sliced breast was superb and the accompanying potato, carrot and zucchini added wonderful color to the plate. The apple strudel and crème brûlée provided the finish to a wonderful meal, among the best we’ve ever had. Katy’s is not kosher. But if you are looking for a wonderful meal, don’t miss this gem.More

Katy's is a timeless restaurant, that serves GOOD & well done food from scratch. Classic European for food lovers, rather than Instagram photo takers who eat mostly with their eyes. Rare chef who actually knows his way around ingredients and present them gracefully and tastefully...on your plate. We had tasted the Pate, meat stuffed artichokes, stuffed cheese & tometo aubergine, veal schnitzel in lemon sauce and not forgetting the staple brioche bread with antipasti. ALL was delicious!!! Very good food. I had a stuffed artichoke with veal. Wine is good and by the glass. Their ice cream which I would call spumoni is the best I have had on this trip. The service was good. The location is very good. Quiet and...not hectic.More
