I came to Mamak’s Corner at 6:20pm for dinner. I came because of the good reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately, I was served microwaved food from the buffet counter (fish curry and rice). The food tasted ok, nothing special, the typical Malaysian affair. For the...price though, I’m disappointed that the food was not made fresh, or at least heated in a pan. If they had to microwave the food, maybe it is best to not microwave it in front of their customers?More

My lovely wife and I visited this Malaysian restaurant for lunch one day. It offers tasty, good value food and is handy if you're visiting the central market. There's a buffet lunch available but we opted to order from the menu instead, sharing nasi lemak...with fried fish ($3.50) and roti canai ($1.20). Both were good. Definitely worth a visit if you're hereabouts and want a quick & good value bite to eat.More

I had read good reviews and was really keen to check the food varieties at the hotel. However, I was disappointed by the whole experience. I went to the hotel and the AC was not working, the whole place was deserted and the staff was...not willing to turn on the fans even. The stuffy feel of the establishment was a big downer. I wanted to meet the owner to talk to him, but then decided to leave. In a sultry environment as Phnom Penh, its but obvious that a customer will want a well ventilated place. The Management needs to look into this, The menu was really exciting, pity that I could not savour the place praised by many, May be it was just a bad day .... may be next time,More

I first saw seeing this place on my way to nearby bank (Maybank). It’s located about 3 or 4 blocks away from Hard Rock Cafe at Exchange Square Mall. This is a halal (muslim) restaurant and the menu have similarity with my country (Malaysia) cuisine....In the restaurant i place order for nasi goreng (fried rice) , roti telur (egg paratha) , teh tarik (tea with condensed milk) and drinking water. Nice average Malaysian like food in Cambodia.More

Found this place on google and discovered great fluffy roti canai , perfectly done crisp at its sides, and fish curry that fuel rich dreams. I had 2 of these with chicken rendang that carried with a hint of serai...just lovely. And then the Jewel...of this restaurant: the Mamak Fish Head Curry, an accurate taste of home. The teh tarik was good as well..More

Mamak's has delicious food and very helpful staff. We enjoyed our dinner. The only draw-back is that there are a limited number of menu items. And no traditional desserts.

Don't let the name deceive you. This is not your usual Mamak Restaurant. This restaurant serves authentic Malay food. Nasi campur in Baine Marie, typical Malaysian style restaurant. Of course roti canai & teh tarik is also available.

Two of us went for brunch at 11.00 am They had a Bain Marie set up, typical to malaysian style restaurant Lunch was ready. Items from the menu was also able to be ordered; like mee goreng etc. Nasi lemak and the various curries were...already made. Coffee and teh tarik were also available. Once inside it felt like in Malaysia. The clientele were mostly chinese, indians and malays. We spoke to the owner - a Malaysian Indian; and he has been there for almost 20 years. We ordered nasi lemak and mee goreng with a few side dishes of mutton and chicken. All tasted like home. The prices were very cheap. i recommend Mamak's Corner if you feel homesick.More

The food is cheap and delicious and will have you coming back for more. I enjoyed the roti canai, which is freshly made flat-bread served with a spicy curry dip, as well as their nasi lemak, a rice dish served with dried anchovies, peanuts, cucumber,...a somewhat spicy sauce, and a fried egg laid on top. A nice way to start the day, especially with a teh tarik, or 'pulled tea', very sweet and tasty! They also have a lunch buffet, which appears to be quite popular.More

What a surprise find! This restaurant serves authentic Malay food such as nasi lemak, roti canai or prata with fish or chicken curry, and other Malay dishes such as sambal brinjal, squids, curry chicken, etc. The roti canai was very good - crispy on the...outside and a bit chewy inside. The fish and chicken curries were very lemak. The teh tarik was very well done. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended for authentic Malay food in Phnom Penh.More

When you feel homesick in Phnom Penh, Cambodia this is the place to rejuvenate with Malaysian food. The roti canai and fish curry is awesome, even the sambal Tumis petai or smelly bean is nice.

Mamak's Corner is one of the oldest Malaysian halal restaurant in Phnom Penh. The food is good and taste as good as the one that you can find in Malaysia. However, the price can be quite costly, You are looking at about 3-4 times the...price that you will pay for the same kind of food in Malaysia. Nevertheless, it is a good place to go to if you are craving for authentic Malaysian mamak food.More

I enjoyed two breakfasts at this slightly-tricky-to-find place (tell your driver that it's close to Maybank). I had Nasi Lemak and Roti Telur, both were delicious and served hot and fresh. The teh tarik is also worth trying. If you're in the mood for Malay...while in Phnom Penh, this is a good bet.More
