I visited this restaurant during New year festival. So many people were having food at that time. We decided to celebrate our new year in this restaurant. I knew that the kitchen was busy so I ordered simple food i.e momo but we waited for...2 hours no body came and thus we returned. staff were serving to a table with bigger groups onlyMore

The food here is authentic and excellent. I always have the bento box which gives you a variety of delicious food and is great value. The location shown here is incorrect though. They have moved to a new location close to 12 Street. I also...have eaten ate their Kathmandu location in Thamel, which has the same menu and prices.More

After trying a good number Japanese restaurants in Nepal and not being impressed, we found ourselves in Pokhara at Momotarou. The head chef being Japanese makes sure every component is perfect in every dish making every visit a wonderful experience in taste even if you...aren't sure what you are ordering and want to take a gamble. On top of this it is a family run restaurant that is making food with love and maintaing a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The free wheat tea is the cherry on this very delicious cake. I don't give 5/5 ratings until now.More

We spent 5 nights in Pokhara and have eaten ourselves silly. There are so many lovely restaurants and cafes and all so cheap. Our daughter is vegan and so tried a few restaurants we wouldn’t ordinarily go to and this was one of the best....I had Ramen soup and the portion was huge- really tasty food, good service and a good price. We enjoyed it so much we went back for a second meal which was just as tasty. Well worth a visitMore

Food is good and service great. I'm a vegetarian and they serve tofu cutlet. It the best Japanese food in pokhara. Price is reasonable as portion quite big.

This is my first review on TripAdvisor. Went to this restaurant to try Japanese food. They have delicious Teri Yaki Don and Tamango Soup. We all loved the food and the staff was very polite. The restaurant is very cozy. Would visit often if it...was a little cheaper. The food is worth the money though Definitely worth a try.More

Thank you so much for your kind words. We try not to keep the price very high. If you compare our price and quality with many other restaurants in Pokhara, we can assure you that you won't be disappointed with our price. Please do visit...More

Huge portions, very kind staff, we went to this place 2 times already and we will visit a few more times for the awesome momo soup, Chuka Don and chicken teriyaki, Great ambience and cozy place. They do add 10% service tax to your bill.

One of my favourite restaurants in Kathmandu, I was delighted to see they have opened a branch in Pokhara. The decor and space is a welcome change from their Kathmandu place (which is being improved on right now). The food as always was excellent. Served...with green tea, there's a great choice of dishes including some sushi, but best of all are the noodle dishes.More

We fancied something different so came here. Food was plentiful, tasty and importantly for me - piping hot. Plenty of vegetarian options as well.

Momotaro is a Japanese restaurant in Lakeside area. In this restaurant you can taste some popular Japanese dishes like Tonkatsu, Ramen and so on. The price is quite reasonable, and the taste is not bad. But Ramen that I ordered was like Udon noodles.

I had finally given up on ordering Katsu in the US. It seemed like a case of mass amnesia among those preparing the dish or just the usual dumbing down of food. So while there may be easier ways to get a good Katsu then...getting on a plane to Nepal, if you happen to be in Pokhara this is definitely the place to go. We also had one of their eggplant dishes and cucumber seaweed salad. All very delicious. Most main dishes run between 400 and 490 Rupees. Would definitely recommend.More

With a large variety of mid-priced vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, Momotarou remains one of my go-to establishments. They have great ramen varieties (miso ramen? Yummm!), interesting appetizers (goma ae), and even some sake if that's what you're in the mood for. I've been eating here...for five years, and the food has remained consistently well prepared and fresh. Like I said: one of my go-to spots.More

Food is salty, but tastes okay if you don't compare them to Japanese food in other countries. Price is high considering the quality. Don't try sushi. Nepal is an inland country, so eating fish(especially raw fish) is not recommended not only at Momotarou but in...Nepal if you have the least sensitivity in your tongue. Not an avoidable place definitely.More
