Had dinner at Yuzu on the 3rd of Jan.
My partner and two sons of 12 and 5.
Positive: Very beautiful place. not our first time at Labourdonnais. Classy restaurant.
The food was good, the kiddy enjoyed his fish and chips from the kids menu.
We had a selection of starters(lobsters, caviar, st Jacques, wagyu.. and as main course Black Angus, and chef's dim sum specials) lots of apple slices in almost all dishes.??! why?
Atilio who did our service was very friendly and professional.
Negative: Ordered a beer, which took 15 mins. Only 10 guests in the restaurant. Was told that the drinks were served from the outside bar. ok.
Ordered a second one later and waited for 30 mins. no beer. I left my table to inquire from the head of the restaurant and from Attilio. Was told that they are replacing the Keg...? I cancelled the beer and ordered another glass of french Merlot. later My son dropped my glass accidentally. Table was cleaned and my plate was changed and the dressing done. Excellent.
The head of restaurant brought another glass of wine. i really apreciate this gesture.
He poured the wine left in my glass and mixed it with the new glass of wine, which was absolutely differerent from the wine i ordered. Non professional.
When i raised the subject he apologised.
As a five star property and for the price, guests should deserve a better service and consideration.

Port Louis caudan waterfront offer a variety of choices when it comes to restaurants.
This restaurant the YUZU situated at Labourdonnais waterfront hotel , offers something special that is for me quite unique in terms of savoury dishes and impeccable service.
Greeted by a well groomed gentleman at the entrance , my colleague and I were directed to our table. We were served cold towels and the suggestions for the plates and wine menu amazing. Classy and distinguished guests entering the restaurant caught my eyes. Yes we are in Mauritius said my colleague.
Godish the service attendant made our Dining experience the most wonderful moment.
So I am hereby recommending this restaurant to Fine Dining Lovers . They tailor made the dining experience according to guests and not the contrary . Highly recommended and sure to come back

We are a family of vegans and never miss an opportunity to go to Yuzu for special occasions or when we are staying at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel.
We particularly like the Mushroom Gyoza as entrée, a Miso Soup and a Vegan Signature Yuzu bowl as the main course.
We are grateful for the wonderful service while appreciating one of the best vegan fine cuisine in Mauritius.

Waiting an 1.5hrs for my main dish to be served and being told its taking time because 1) I ordered starters and 2) seeing people who ordered after me being served before me makes me question how this restaurant is being run. Also having my steak overcooked after such a long wait is just too much after a long day at the office 3) having to get up throughout the night to pour my own water…. I dont mind but this isnt the kind of service you expect. The only plus side is they make a good salad

My wife and I had a delicious 7 course tasting menu in this fine restaurant. Food was excellent, service was excellent, indeed everything was excellent. Thanks to Davina(Chef),Rajiv, Kevin and all the staff for a lovely evening. Highly recommended for people with good taste.

Last Friday we experienced one of our best fine dining. Beautiful decor, lovely live music, good vibes, creative fusions - salute to chefs ! And special thanks to Johnathan, Godish and Ketty for their TLC Services who made us so warm and welcoming. Certainly love to go back again !!

Lovely Asian / fusion food, elegant surroundings and great service. Shawn remembered me from a previous visit and seated me at my favourite table, and Atillio offered me a vegetarian amuse bouche, without being reminded that I don’t eat meat. Thank you.

My husband and I visited yuzu a few days back.This was not the first time we have visited - been there quite a few times.However,we were highly disappointed this time around.The 4 and 5 course tasting menu is not a patch on what it used to be like before.Every single dish had an overdoze of pomegranate and apple for some reason.The food was very average-not 5 star quality at all.
Considering it is a fine dining restaurant,the guests present at the restaurant were dressed very casual- flip flops,shorts,tshirts.There were two very noisy kids in the restaurant as well.
Considering the fact that yuzu is in a 5 star property and the fact that we paid big bucks for the dinner- we were highly dissatisfied and would not recommend it to our friends and family.
