I went for dinner with my husband. Setting is amazing, but sort of felt like a statistic, dont particularly remember service standing out.. food was a little pricey (or maybe its what I chose) and I didnt feel like I got 100% value for money.

Dear Faffy Travels Thanks for the positive comments on our setting. Sorry you felt like "a statistic." All our customers our equally important to us. We encourage our waiters to be both efficient and friendly, whilst at the same time maintaining a high degree of professionalism. Nothing worse than a premature overfamiliarity from staff in a restaurant. With regard to... More

Poor food...very outdated French Cuisne. Excellent environment. Best set up restaurant in Harare, the garden out of this world. Good for Thursday night drinking.

Lovely old colonial building on its own grounds w water features and shrubbery. Very tasty simple food. Definately recommend.

Dear Mtnflyer Thanks for the review. The building is a 1940's house that was lived in by the owners and then converted. The water features were built by Alan Barbour. Our Sunday menu is an extract from our full a la carte menu that we hope you will sample in the future. Team Amanzi More

We drove up to Amanzi in the pitch dark - another power cut in Zim! The staff however had lit little candles and garden burners all the way up the path to the restaurant. We dined by candlelight (very romantic) and the food was delicious. We took our own bottle of wine and the cockage was minimal. The tapas are... More

I come rather often to Amanzi's for their Wednesday Quiz Night and for drinks. Since there is not much vegetarian fare, I generally stick to French fries (chips) and beers. They have quite a few craft beers from South Africa.

I had the pleasure of visiting Amanzi this weekend. I was impressed by the customer service and PR. It is a beautiful location and setting, quiet area. It is not however cut out for the little kids, facility-wise. You have to keep a sharp eye out since there is a pool nearby. Food was on point but maybe more generous... More

If you are in to health there is a small market by Amanzi which offers healthy foods. Chia seeds grown right here in Zimbabwe, avocado seed powder, muesli and other interesting things. Very nice

You can hardly imagine a nicer location for a lunch or dinner. But the service was a bit slow. Took long time to get our main corse. And card payment didn't work after several trial. At the end we did online.

Normally we really enjoy Amanzi, one of the few places open on a Monday night. Great atmosphere, great service, quirky paintings etc. Steak with peppercorn sauce I had for main was perfect. However we left with literally a bad taste in our mouths - off cheese cake. Manager admitted it was off but seemed irritated at us complaining. Shame.
