Food: 1/5 We ordered for lunch 2 Harira Soups (vegetarian and normal), Moroccoan Salad, Chicken Tagine, assorted Moroccan Desserts and mixed fruit salad. The soup was bland (couldn’t tell the difference between vegetarian and non) and cold. The salad was old and lacked taste. The...mixed Morrocan desserts were also old. Service: 5/5 Service was accommodating and attentive. Atmosphere: 5/5 The upstairs seating area has a great view of the city while the downstairs has a cozy traditional Riad setup with chairs and decorations. Location: 5/5 Located in the heart of Rabat near the majority of other well known restaurants. Well trafficked roads. Value: 1/5 The price for what we paid was just not worth it. It turned out to be one of our highest price/plate and the food quality was not worth it.More

Restaurant Dar El Kebira was located inside the Riad Dar Kika Salam, which was where we were actually staying. We wanted to have a local Moroccan dining experience. The hotel generously made a recommendation and even called to make the reservation. We have reviewed our...evening at that establishment on their own Trip Advisor restaurant profile. Does Moroccan Fish Tagine sound exotic? Over breakfast, we were discussing local cuisine with Abdel, our server. He offered that their kitchen go to the market, purchase fresh fish and prepare Tajine Poisson for us that evening. We should have skipped going out the previous night to a high-end tourist trap and just dined in our hotel. The entire evening at Restaurant Dar El Kebira was amazing. The warm, romantic ambience complemented by the fireplace and candlelight set the perfect mood. Abdel was again providing our service and helped to make everything memorable. We enjoyed several bottles of wine with our entrances, salads and Tajine Poissons. Whiling the fun evening away with fine food and good drink was easy and wonderful at Restaurant Dar El Kebira.More

We came from Belgium to discover and enjoy the authentic side of the moroccan culture and Dar El kebira Riad was an excellent experience for us. The location is just perfect to visit other must see places in the heart of the capital and it’s...also close to the beach. We’d like to thank the riad’s staff for their kindness, their help and their good sens of humour, and especially Miss Samhae Moussahal for her hospitality and her practical suggestions. The food is not just delicious but presented as masterpieces and reflecting the authentic moroccan tastes, we just loved that ! The room was a typical sheherazade arabian nights space where you’ll want to spend the entire day.. but you definitely should go enjoy the breakfast in the sunny rooftop ! We’ll come again for sure.. thanks Dar El Kebira !More
