This was my first visit to The French Touch and I kick myself for not going sooner. Un-freaking-real!!! We sat at the Chef’s Table and watched the master create dish after dish. I had the bone-in pork-chop and without a doubt it was the best...pork chop I have ever eaten. (I ate at Perry’s Steakhouse last week and while their pork-chops are outstanding… there’s a new Big Dog. At most restaurants there’s always loud banter throughout the meal….not at The French Touch. When the food arrives, it goes quiet. I can’t wait to go back again and share this experience with others. Patrick is the real deal. You will not be disappointed!More

Wow. It took me a few days to respond, I didn’t get a notice about a new review. I remember this evening and it was a real pleasure serving you through my glass windows. You are very kind. Until next time Cheers!

Excellent cuisine in a pretty setting with a charming host and EXCELLENT Chef! The restaurant is small and cozy. The food is EXTRAORDINARY! You can still have a comfortable laid back San Pedro vibe while dining on excellent French cuisine right here in town! Host...Christian will set you up with a drink while you consider the menu. You are able to watch Chef Patrick do his magic in the kitchen which is enclosed with glass panels but visible from the dining room. Tonight we started with caprese salad and snails. The pesto on the mozzarella had the nice crunch of pignoli and fresh basil. Needed lots of bread to dip into the garlic butter on the escargot. As mains we had beef short ribs and lamb stew Provençal. OMG! Both dishes served on top of mashed potatoes. The meats were melt in your mouth tender with rich and satisfying sauces. Crème Brûlée finished off our meal. The menu is broad- beef, pork, lamb, fish, all prepared with skill and care. Wine list is very good. Call today to make your reservation. You’ll thank me later.More

We came to the restuarant in June ( he was just about to reopen) At first by a taxi driver we were told the restaurant was closed. However, we were out in the area and saw Chef Patrick fixing up the place. I stop by...and he let me know he was a little booked but he fit us in and he asked if it was a special occusion and I let him know it was my birthday, etc. He gave a smile and said wonderful! We arrived and had a little wait because he was packed and the needed to make room but within 15 minutes or less he had a table for us. He had ran out of a few menu items but was very accomdating. I love the fact you can watch him cook and do his thing and let me tell you it is fun and intersting to watch. we loved every minute of it. We love every minute of our food. If i could have I would have licked my plate..lol. It was that good. The best testing food me and my husband have had in a long time. It brought us back to our time in France. The decor is beautiful and nicely lit. The bartender/waitier made me and my husband a dessert drink to die for..I mean it was yummy. It made the ending to my birthday week so special. Patrick the chef and owner was great to talk too and very personable. We really enjoy our dinner and will comeback when we return in September. So thank you for the marvelous meal and atmosphere.More

Excellent food and fun experience in a very small place. If looking for a different AC and more upscale restaurant - definitely recommend. FOR SURE, make reservations if you want one of the 4 tables !

Quaint little gem. Dined at the chef’s table/counter. What an experience seeing. Chef Patrick in action- he does it all! Food was beyond fabulous- best steak tartar ever. And the pork chop- so thick but so tender. Coming from New Orleans we love good food...and this did not disappoint. Make a reservation as soon as you book your trip as this is a must dine! What a quaint little place! They only have a few tables, so reservations are a must. Chef Patrick interacts throughout the evening. Truly 5 star food. The special was a 1 1/2" thick pork chop. OK, so, pork chop doesn't sound like much, right? But...this was the best pork I have ever eaten! Juicy and cooked to the perfect temperature. The sauce - out of this world amazing! Others in our party has the surf& Turf and sea bass entrees. All were very pleased. I forgot to mention the french onion soup - fabulous! Drinks are hand crafted at the small bar. We were the only out-of-towners, as local expats seemed to be the regulars. Sadly we did not have room for dessert - next time! Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. By the way, we used WhatsApp to communicate when we made the reservation. Chef was very communicative and told us of the menu changes coming this week. By far the best dinner of the trip!More

Most places in San Pedro do- unless you're eating at a small outdoor stand you can rely on using your card (we found this to be the case in San Ignacio and Placencia as well).
