We recently had our company Christmas party here. The room was nicely decorated, the food was excellent and the service staff were fantastic. We all had an excellent time. I would recommend this place for any group function.
Our experience in times past has been good. Nice wait staff, great food. However, this last time (September 23, 2021) we ordered the Chicken Picatta. We asked for an extra plate. They charged us for "sharing/split plate" $4.00 yet they did not split it, they...just brought an extra plate. The side Caesar was $7.00. It was small and not worth more than $4.00. Lobster Bisque was good but also small serving but high price ($10.00). Our bill for basically one meal (soup, salad, main entree) was $48.38. We can't afford eating out if the price is that high!More
1st time visit. Recommended by friends. Food was as good as expected. However, what's with all the upcharges??? I get it that things cost more more but it seems a bit much to nickel-dime your customers. And a $1.00 upcharge for crackers to compliment the...Lobster Bisque - REALLY! I wanted the Grouper, at Market Price, but didn't care for the Lime Cilantro and Mango Sause. I elected not to get it because I would have had to pay another $3.00 to change it. You know folks, it's not the money, it's the principle of the whole thing. It just ruins the dining experience. Charge what you have to charge but think about what you are doing with all the upcharges. It really degrades the dining experience.More
We were their on a Saturday evening and our waiter seated us. They had 2 servers working and ours was overwhelm. It took him 15 minutes to wait on us and then another 15 minutes for our drinks. We had to ask him twice for...straws before he brought then over. We ask for black pepper and he brought us salt. We had to flag him down the whole evening. When we received our bill, I had a $10.00 charge for wine when I requested house wine.. I was told that the keg wine was shut down and they upgraded my wine. On the positive side the food was excellent.More
We have finally tried the Apollo Bistro. Th eambiance is not anything to write home about. I was there for the food, since it is highly rated. The menu is great. Great assortment of dishes. I chose the Cobb salad with shrimp. My wife chose...the Fish and Chips with homemade chips. We both ordered ice tea. The tea was great. Our dishes arrived in good time. My salad was huge and nicely displayed. My only complaint is that the onions were very strong. The salad was terrific. The shrimp, very fresh. My wife's batter-fried fish was delicious. The chips were to die for. The tartar sauce was noteworthy. It had some mustard in the mix that was great. We left happy and will return soon!More
So, on Friday, July 25,2020, my parents and I had a reservation weeks in advance to celebrate my dad's 78th Birthday and shoulda had a table reserved. Unfortunately, when we walked in, the young man who greeted us decided to seat us at a bar...round table with bar stools right by the front door which made no sense to have a table right by the door. I told him we had a reservation for weeks and should have one of the reserves tables
He mumbled the restaurant was super busy and we needed to wait for an empty table also never happened to us before. I liked around and saw the restaurant was not crowded at all with hardly any tables in the back full at all, maybe, 4 tables were occupied and this did not make sense why we couldn't be seated in the back. We finally after about 10 minutes were seated at a window table which is always lovely to look outside while eating watching the sun set. We mentioned to our server Shenice about why we didn't have a reserved table and got the same excuse the restaurant was overly busy. I looked around again and saw many empty tables. There were 4 occupied tables including my parents and I in the main dining area that was all. We were able to get our appetizers fairly quickly, I had the beer cheese soup, dad had gator bites, however, we did not get any bread to stay with and the beer cheese soup was warm almost cold. I didn't say anything due to not wanting to hear yet another excuse. Being aggitated annoyed already it wasn't worth to hear any more excuses. Whole waiting an hour and a half for our entres, I noticed the real reason for this extremely poor service, there was one table with a group of about 10 drunken People who ordered not only a lit of drinks one right after the other, but good as well. Then, there were 2 other tables with 1 couple each doing the same thing ordering food and drinks together. So the whole entire issue was to cater to the drunken customers spending a lot of money instead of paying attention to all the customers in the restaurant. The tables in the back, besides is ere Completely ignored as well. One lady had to go get up and Chase her sever down to not only get her bill but pay it as well also getting a lame excuse and lame apology. This was the worst service we ever had since going here for many years.T he last issue was Shenice getting annoyed we weren't going to the Wine tasting because it wasn't worth it to us since I don't drink in the first place and my parents would only drink 2 glasses of wine and $100 for snacks and wine is not worth it as we did explain however, that wasn't good enough for Shenice. It is completely unprofessional to not only lie to your long time customers or customers in the first place about being overly busy when your not it is also Completely unprofessional to ignore other customers because you're more concerned about the drunken table making money as well as make customers wait a full hour and half for their meals. Get your acts together people or you lose your customers for goodMore
Everything we ordered was excellent. The lobster bisque was so good. We ordered the Alfredo pasta, chicken Parmesan, chicken Marseille, Beef & Blue flatbread, crab cakes and burger in a bowl. They have hand washing station before entering the restaurant and plenty of social distancing!...They were easily able to accommodate our group of 9.More
