If you come to DC, you have to try Old Ebbitt Grill. It is stunning inside and feels like history. Every time I visit, I find something new on the wall, ceiling, or general decoration that fascinated me. Not to mention that I’ve never tried...More

Enjoyed a pleasant business meal at the Old Ebbitt Grill. This is a buzzy restaurant in central Washington and clearly very popular. It was fortunate we had booked, because otherwise we wouldn’t have had a table. We took advantage of the reduced price happy hour...More

Close to the White House and Washington Monument. Very busy-arrived solo on a Weds at 6 PM and there was a wait for a table. Found a seat at the bar, which was a tight squeeze, but do-able. Enjoyed a pomegranate mojito, spicy stuffed pepper...More

Very good food, drinks were spot on and our bartender was extremely tentative, friendly and out going. Key to this place is to check out the back area bars if the entrance is crowded.

There was a 90 minute wait for a table at 1:30 on a Saturday, so we opted for a seat at the many bars. The lunch and service were great. We would definitely recommend going there. We would go back to try dinner some time.

This place has wonderful food. Even though they quoted a 45 minute wait it was only 25 and we were able to walk the perimeter of the White House while we waited. They notify via text which is great as well. Our waiter was on...More

I found the lighting to be great. Definitely not bright. Yes, there was valet parking and jeans were acceptable. We were there early evening on a Saturday.

I am sorry for the delay. The lighting is very subdued. There were no flashing lights and the bar area is dim. The dining area is well lit but not "bright white".
