Evening meal taken in this lovely restaurant. Service was great and food was very tasty. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food served.

Well I'm noticed in the internet meniu mushroom white soup and apple cake exactly in the Pilies street, so I came waiting for menu didn't find both food, so I search for something, very pricy for potato dishes which looks not so tasty in the...reviews, I'm waiting waitress for ages, she did not come. Interier very poor not comfyMore
The food, a potato and pork dish which had been cooked in a pot, came to the table burnt and was only 2/3 full. Average food and average service……..
I had potato pancakes with minced pork, crackling and sour cream sauce which I thoroughly enjoyed. Meal was very hot and found it enjoyable. My mum had potato pudding which she found dry and tasteless as if it was over cooked. We had doughnuts as...a dessert which we enjoyed but the service in this restaurant unfortunately was pretty bad. It took a long time for us to be served and for our drinks to come to the table. We waited for over an hour for our finished plates to be cleared from the table and had to ask for the dessert menu which we found disappointing. Like I say - I found the food very tasty but the service was very slow and not the friendliest service either.More
We came here to try some local food for dinner. The restaurant itself isn't very inviting and the place feels cramped and moldy. Vegetarians will have a tough time here, but the rest of the food was good. Service was nice. Prices were modest.
My husband and I are very disappointed. We visited Vilnius for the first time. We are citizens of Lithuania, but we lived outside of Lithuania for a very long time. We are originally from Klaipeda. We were walking around the city and I saw this...place. I was glad that Lithuanian dishes are served here. I really wanted to get potato dumplings, the national Lithuanian dish. The woman who greeted us at the door was very unprofessional. Her name is Martina. When she met us, she said we could go downstairs. I asked her why and said we wanted to stay there. She said we wouldn't like it here. We liked it better downstairs. I couldn't understand why because she had a lot of tables and I wanted to sit there because I liked the place how it looked from outside. When we went downstairs, there were no windows at all, I felt very uneasy. But when I heard the people around us, I immediately understood why she sent us there. She seemed to judge us by our faces, that we were the same national people who were there. I was very disappointed to be treated this way and not be able to get the seat I wanted, but "Martina must have known better about our preferences even after I asked." The boy who served us downstairs was amazing. Unfortunately, I didn't ask his name. The food was amazing, too. Martina made me very sad and disappointed.More
Nice cosy restaurant with a decent ranging menu. We had sausage and mash and potato dumplings which were nice and the beer was good. Service was a bit slow but it was busy.
Tried this place in a mall the waiter did not understand English but was not an issue the potato dumplings with pork were great and the beetroot soup was alright
Yes, it's a tourist restaurant, but it's a good one. Service was very pleasant and food was lovely. It's not fine dining, it's comfort food, and a lot of it. A lot of options for exploring the various regional specialties. It may be a chain...but don't let that hold you back. They clearly care. Be prepared for a wait to be seated at peak hours. Planning my return dinner.More
When I was staying in Vilnius I went there to taste some local food according to some other recommendations. After waiting some time at 9 PM I had a table for 4 for myself. I discussed with waitress what I can taste as Lithuanian food...and with her recommendations I chose the mushroom soups. And it was very tasty, but maybe there was too Mouchoise of bread. For the main course, I decided to tase the homemade sausage with some purée and vegetables. It was delicious. To d’incohérences I chose the local dessert the tinginys (lazy cake) and it was worth it. It looks touristy but it's actually a good and pretty cheap restaurant to try local food in the old town centre. Their terrace is an extra pleasure if it's sunny. We tried blood pudding and fried potato dumplings with meat filling and we, 2 people...were full.More
As a caterer in the United States, i really wanted to try authentic Lithuanian food and am excited to share my findings and my experience with this gem of a restaurant! This popular spot is a great casual night out where you can experience authentic...traditional Lithuanian cuisine in a Gothic setting. The team under Erika's direction provided excellent service for a dinner. Here are some traditional items to try: For starters, try the cranberry and fermented bread drinks. The cranberry drink is made with fresh cranberries and would work perfectly as a mixer for spirits as well. The fermented bread drink tastes like a drinkable version of brown bread. Moving on to soups, i recommend coming hungry and trying as many as you can! The mushroom soup comes pureed in a bread bowl with a bread top to keep the soup warm and scooping morseks of the bread to eat along with the soup is perfect. We tried two types of beet soups. The first soup is cold beet soup with a true Barbie pink color and is a combination of sour cream, beet, fresh cucumber and dill. The soup is served with hot potstoes and is a perfect combination of flavor and texture as well as hot and cold. The hot beet soup was a delcious with bacon bits and balanced acidity. The last soup was a sauerkraut soup with pork and simply delicious. Now on to the main course and the favorite national dish-cepelinai! These hearty and rich potato amd meat dumplings are terrific. The potato dumplings are stuffed with seasoned meat and served eith a sour cream meat dipping sauce. These are a must try if you want traditional Lithuan food. If you are still hungry, try tge delicious fried bread with tge cheese, garlic abd mayo dippibg sauce! Thank you Erika and team for tge wonderful experience!More
Good hearty food. Good prices. Popular so plan on getting there early do you don’t have to wait. Decent staff. We sat outside which was great for people watching.
Traditional lithuanian cuisine restaurant on the main street, close to the cathedral, it looks a bit disneyland style, but portions are adequate and some of the dishes were interesting. Crowded.
Lithuania cousin nisly done not to fenci but still good value for money. Very busy in dinner time you need to wait until table got free.
