Good local vegan food from Prekmurje at reasonable prices, . I ate there BEST vegan bograč ever - really delicious. Staff are professional and friendly. Good location in Ljubljana and easy to find it. Definitely worth a visit!
Absolutely loved this very reasonably priced restaurant. There were a few traditional slovenian foods that I wanted to try, and my waiter was happy to offer me a plate of small portions so I could try a few things as I was travelling alone. My...meal was served with a bottle of pumpkin seed oil on the side, which is one of my favourite things about eating out in slovenia! I would highly recommend this restaurant and it's in a very central location.More
I like this place even more now that it's vegetarian/vegan. Meat eaters just loved their vegan bograč, you should definitely try it. I love their dödoli and now that they have vegan sour cream available, it was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g. And, of course, the pumpkin oil...- a delicacy from the Eastern part of Slovenia. When you're in Ljubljana, try this restaurant and you won't be disappointed.More
I visited Gujzina with family visiting, including two older people. The waiter was rude from the beginning, it took him forever to take the order. When the two older people asked him something, he rudely replied that everything is written in the menu - not...even considering that they don't see well and that they just kindly asked him for help. It pains me to think that he acted like that towards them. When asked to recommend us wine, the waiter was once again rude and dismissive. For all the money we ended up spending there, we didn't even get a basket of bread to go with the soup. As much as their food is tasty, it is not worth going there if the service stays as bad - it will ruin your evening.More
Excellent food and super friendly staff ❤️ I tried home made vegan plate for starter and baked dödöle with vegan bograč. I couldn’t decide on deserts, so I ordered chocolate pudding with soy whipped cream and took all vegan pies to go. I will definitely...come back, need to try every item on the menu. Keep up the good work ❤️More
Good local food from Prekmurje region an good service at reasonable prices. Try Gibanica (moving cake). Waiters know what to recommend and they really are nice and friendly. This is the place to go to if you want to experience a gourmet experience specific for...Zprekmurje, SE region.More
The pumpkin soup was the best part of the meal. The ham hock was tough, salad boring and covered in oily dressing, croquette tasted like reconstituted potato. The dessert cake wasn’t great either. The wine was expensive, but good and the waiter pleasant enough, but...overall not a great experience.More
Very busy (popular)place- with „EAST FROM SLOVENIA“ character.
The majority of dishes show a slovakian origin- seem to reach a far better standard, than what I tasted in Slovakia.
Super soups (mushroom), probably the finest goulash I ever had.
The pork could be a bit...more tender, but the DÖDÖLLE is again *****.
Fine Slovenian red wine and good service made the dinner excellentMore
I visited the place for a dinner with my girlfriend and was full of excitement to see what is the food like since I am coming from the same region that the food they offer (Prekmurje region). We ordered two main dishes and 1 side...to share. First we waited for over half an hour than when the food came it was not what we ordered. They took it back and after another 15 minutes we got the correct mains and again the wrong side dish. When we mentioned it to the waiter be was a bit arrogant and said that another waiter will take care of the problem. While waiting for the side we already finished the mains otherwise it would get cold.
I would really recommende the owners/chef to approve the concept of what means Slovenian dishes (beef steak in a green pepper sauce is not one of them) and what is the wright way to prepare them. The restaurant is in the city centre and It should represent our cuisine in a rightful way to all the turists.
Do not misunderstand me. The food is ok but it needs the final touch.More
