I was accompanied by my wife and my son. We didn’t know or had any experience of this restaurant. It is very cosi and well decorated. The service extremely good and the personnel made us feel imediatamente comfortable as at home!! And then the food...! Very tasty. Every morsel dissolved in a wonderful taste and full! It was a wonderful experience!!More
We visited La Veranda on New Year's Eve, eagerly anticipating our pre-ordered 6-course meal. Given the higher-than-average pricing, our expectations for both food and service were quite high. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. Firstly, the ambiance was more akin to a children's...birthday party than an upscale dining establishment, with balloons, streamers, and party hats adorning the tables. The music volume was loud, drowning out any attempts at normal conversation. Service was another area where La Veranda missed the mark. There was a notable lack of presentation or explanation of the dishes served, leaving us to guess at the ingredients and preparation methods. Additionally, there was no guidance or recommendations for wine pairings with the various courses, a service we had anticipated given the caliber of the restaurant. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the overall dining experience. The quality and taste of the food did not meet our expectations, and the service was lackluster, failing to add any value to our evening. For a price tag of 600 EUR, we expected a memorable and enjoyable dining experience but were left with a sense of disappointment. This was an unfortunate letdown and not something we would recommend based on our experience.More
The staff, especially Honza was extremely friendly and professional. The food was outstanding. It’s refreshing to find a restaurant that isn’t pretentious, opting for a short menu that makes the most of the ingredients and focusing on quality rather than quantity.
Whimsical dining room perfect for an intimate dinner with family. Wonderful service and excellent food. Dinner featured pumpkin soup, venison ragu and a deconstructed carrot cake. The food was creative and executed perfectly. The wine suggestions provided by our server were spot on. One of...our favorite dinners in Prague.More
Very friendly and courteous waiters. The food was delicious. Sweet and cozy ambience. Gay friendly. Highly recommended. Änni & Sänni
Excellent food for a good price. The waiters were also very friendly. Comes highly recommended if visiting Prague. We didn’t take the tasting menu, but a 3 course a la carte. I couldn’t really fault anything. Taste was amazing. Well worth their Michelin mention
Absolutely stupendous. We shared the tasting menu and were so glad that we did. Every bite was beyond extraordinary, delicious and innovative. The ambiance was quaint and charming. And the service was impeccable. Thank you for one of the best meals we have ever had,...La Veranda!More
Fantastic food we had the Lamb shoulder and sea bass both of which were superb. We then had the chocolate fondant and the pear as desserts which were equally good. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very modestly but tastefully styled,. Wine list...was good at a reasonable price unlike, some places in Prague, would highly recommend this restaurant.More
To start with, this restaurant exudes casual charm. When you step through the door, you immediately leave the city behind and relax. The food was delicious with just the right proportions. I had the pumpkin soup (it is fall after all!) followed by the sea...bass over lentils. My husband had the tasting menu which included venison - the highlight of his evening. Perfect night after a long day of sight seeing.More
The grilled halloumi was perfect and made my body sing with Joy. A nice glass of White wine to go with it. Each bite was delicious. A late lunch but perfect. Beautiful interior. Great cervice. Happy experience of lunching solo. Just learned now that it...is a Michelin place. I support that category for La Veranda. I love the green planta inside, the Roses on tables and pretty flowers outside. Thank you for my wonderful mealMore
Fantastic service set the scene for an amazing meal. I had the best white wine while in this country here, the trout and quail were amazing. Our only disappointment was that we went back on Sunday and it was closed.
I brought the fam here for dinner on a Friday night 8pm. I recommend making a reservation but not required. Our server was hands down both the most engaging and product knowledgeable of any we had during our week in Prague. We had the grilled...calamari and the burrata appetizers, both great. My Negroni cocktail was on point and they offer several Czech and Austrian wines by the glass so we sampled many. Two of us had the local trout for dinner which was fabulous. The risotto and quail also got rave reviews from the table. We had the cheese sampler for desert, very nice. I highly recommend this spot it’s small, intimate, with wonderful service and dining.More
Great dinner for family member birthday. Very good value as well. Great service. Would come back any time I am here. Nice looking facility
Visited La Veranda restaurant for lunch in May 2023. Tasting menu was available only until 1:30 PM, so I missed it. Chose pea soup and mushroom risotto. Both were great! Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
